How far do the kids run during a practice?

As much as possible, we believe in tailoring our practices to the individual ages and abilities of each child. We typically have four different workout groups during a given practice. The first group is for beginners and the goal is to introduce running and related drills. Often this group mixes running, walking and drills/games for up to 30 minutes of activity. The second group is typically comprised of returning younger runners or those with other basic athletic experience. They typically run up to 30 minutes in a practice. The third group is typically the more experienced group of returning runners and they run anywhere from 30-45 minutes per practice. The fourth group and most advanced group is for those who have demonstrated to the coaching staff a high level of running experience and ability. Individuals in the advanced group may run up to an hour during a practice.

How long are races?

The races are approximately 1 mile in length.
