 That the Jackson 96ers' were founded in 1978?

 That Roy Oswalt of the Houston Astros played for the Jackson 96ers' in 1996 and helped them win the NABF World Series as the World Series MVP?

That former Jackson 96ers player Mike Federico is the Head Coach at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and was the Head Baseball Coach at Meridian Community College, pitching coach at the University of Memphis and the University of Southern Mississippi. 

That former Jackson 96ers player Stephan Waggener is the Head Coach at Young Harris College (GA), and was Assistant Coach at the University of Indianapolis and Delta State University.

That current Executive Director and Manager, Derek J. Topik, played for the 96ers in 1984 & 1985.
He has been on the Board of Director's of the National Amateur Baseball Federation since 2002.
He has also coached the NABF National Team at USA Baseball's Tournament of Stars in 1999, 2001 and 2002.
He is the NABF High School Division Director and he was the recipient of the NABF's Ronald E. McMinn Award in 2006.
He was on the Selection Committee for the MS Sport's Hall of Fame.

He has been Head Baseball Coach at St. Joseph Catholic School (Madison, MS) 1995-99, Assistant Baseball Coach at Madison Central HS (Madison, MS) 1999-2008, Head Baseball Coach at Jim Hill High School (Jackson, MS) 2018 and is now currently an Assistant Baseball Coach at Northwest Rankin High School (Flowood, MS). 

He also played high school baseball at St. Joseph (1982-84) and NWR (1985), where he was 12-2 as a senior with a 0.64 ERA in 118 innings pitched.
