eNVy Spring 2013

Spring 2013 Season

For the first tourney of the year eNVy chose the Mizuno Preps College Showcase in Las Vegas NV on January 25-27.  Although the tourney is geared towards 16u teams eNVy stepped up and played great.  The week started with all 13 players attending the College Camp and 4 players playing in the All-Star game that night.  The weekend was hit with rain, but eNVy played hard and finished 2-1-2.

2nd Tourney for 2013 was the Valentines Day Blast in Las Vegas NV with 26 teams, finished 5-2.  eNVy played great, especially on elimination day.  eNVy made the Championship game and it came down to the bottom of the 7th tied 6-6 with two outs and ended 7-6, with eNVy taking 2nd place.

3rd Tourney, TCS Presidents day showdown in Temecula CA.  eNVy finished 1-3-1.

February 23 2013 eNVy had 3 players try out for highschool softball and all 3 made their teams.  Congrats to Alyssa, Kelsey, and Maiya.

4th Tourney, St Paddy Day Blast in Las  Vegas with 60 teams.  LV eNVy finished 4-2 after going 2-1 in pool play and taking second seed.  The girls had tuff matchups in bracket play,  but were the only local team to advance to the championship side of the brackets.  Congrats on another great tourney even without our 3 highschool players.

5th Tourney, Greatest Show on Dirt in Glendale AZ with 40 team on March 23-24th.  Had some tuff matchups to finish 2-3.  The losses came from the teams that ultimately finished 2nd,3rd, and 4th.

6th Tourney, Spring Madness in Mesquite NV.  Finished 2-3 with a few girls injured.  We will take a couple weeks to heal and be back.

7th Tourney, Red Rock Classic in St George UT.  Finished as Champions at 6-1.  Went undefeated into the Championship game and got forced into the "if" game.  Started the last game close to midnight and played hard from 730am to 0100am.

8th Tourney, Triple Crown Sports-Mothers Day Classic in Fountain Valley.  Played some top Socal Teams in pool play and finished 3-0 with two shutouts.  Ended 3-1 as we were knocked out Sunday Morning.

9th Tourney, Triple Crown Sports-Memorial Day Classic in Mission Viejo.  What a 3 day weekend with 50 teams.  Finished 3-3.

10th Tourney, J.O. Classic in Las Vegas, June 8-9.  Unfortunately the night before we lost a pitcher to surgery and the girls battled the record heat. Finished 2-2 despite scoring 29 runs in four games.

11th Tourney, NV ASA State double elimination games.  Finished 2-2.

12th Tourney, Triple Crown Sports-Red White and Blue in Laguna Niguel CA, June 22-23.  Once again finished 3-0 in pool play to take first seed.  Unfortunately knocked out early Sunday to finish 3-1.  eNVy stayed in Socal and spent Monday at the beach as a team.  On Tuesday we all traveled to Beaumont CA for the Next Level Skills Camp.  What a great experience.

13th Tourney, Triple Crown Sports-Cool Pines Beat the Heat in Flagstaff AZ, July 13-14.  Finished 6-0 as undefeated Champions.  The rain was off and on and it was cool, but the bats were hot.  eNVy scored 34 and only allowed 2 runs in pool play to take first seed.  Now to the dreaded single elimination Sunday.  eNVy continued with the bats by scoring 33 and allowing 7.  Pitchers had multiple shutouts and we had our first game with 3 homeruns.  In the Championship Game "B" started the game with a 3-run shot as the 3rd batter.  It was a battle in the light rain until Morgan hit a GRAND SLAM with 2 outs in the 7th inning.  Kat followed Morgan with a 2 run shot (her second of the tourney).

14th Tourney, USSSA World Series in West Covina, July 29th-August 3rd. Finished 3-4, most of the games were decided by one run making it great games from start to finish.  All played well and it was an emotional weekend as we knew the moment the tourney was over we would be losing our 1998's to 16u teams.  we wish them the best of luck and we will return to 14u in the fall.

 Fall 2013 Season

LV eNVy joined the Las Vegas RAGE Program

For the first tourney of the Fall season RAGE-Andy chose the TCS Fall Classic in West Covina CA on September 21-22.  Pool play went well and finished 2-1 as a 3 seed despite scoring 26 and allowing 11.  The team was ready for bracket play on early Sunday morning.  They won 3 straight with hot bats and outscored their opponants 31-4.  That took the team into the Championship game which was a battle through 7 innings tied most of the game.  Rage-Andy took second after losing 3-2 in the Championship finishing 5-2 for the weekend.

Second tourney Rage-Andy played up in 16's in the Southwest Showdown in Las Vegas on October 5-6 2013.  Lost the first game on Sunday to send us to the consolation bracket, but then played strong to get to the consolation Championship game.  Won the Consolation Championship 9-0 to finish the tourney at 4-2.
