2009 TRAVEL EAGLES  –  PARENT EVALUATION of COACHES

Online surveys will be available:  SUN Oct 4 through TUES Oct 20, 2009.

ZYFL is committed to the selection of the best available coaches, as well as their continued development through coaching clinics and performance feedback.

Parent and Player input is important in achieving this goal and through this online survey you have the opportunity to “coach the coach”.

As you proceed, please keep in mind that coaches in our program are not paid and dedicate large amounts of personal time and energy to their team and program, typically at the sacrifice of family and work situations.  Coaches need positive reinforcement for those things they do well, so be sure to include that in your survey responses.  And, of course, coaches are not perfect; they all have areas in which they can improve and your constructive feedback is deeply appreciated.

SURVEY GUIDELINES

• If possible, we encourage parents to INCLUDE THEIR PLAYER in completing the Coach’s Evaluation Survey; there are several questions which are best answered by your child.

• For EACH COACH, each Player Family may submit ONLY ONE (1) SURVEY response.

• All survey responses will be treated as CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION and coaches will NOT be provided individual respondent identities.

• Survey responses will be compiled and summarized into themes by the League President and the appropriate Commissioner (Rookies, Minors or Majors).  For those instances where these individuals have a “conflict-of-interest” (ie. personal friend of the coach), an alternate ZYFL Board Member who has no such conflict will be assigned to that particular coach’s feedback.

• Our online survey tool will require some identifying information from the respondent – this information will be used primarily for ensuring integrity of the survey (ie. preventing an attempt to skew results).  Such information may also be used to contact those respondents who have made a specific request (ie. for follow-up by the reviewing ZYFL Board Member).  Completely anonymous survey responses will NOT be accepted.
