PHYSICAL EXAMS REQUIRED

Prior to beginning full-contact practices in July, ALL players MUST provide ZYFL a Physical Exam Form completed by a physician after November 15, 2008.  If you want to use your child's physical exam for school sports during the 2009-2010 academic year, it should be performed on/after MAY 1, 2009 to be accepted by Zionsville Community Schools.

Players trying out for the TRAVEL TEAM may submit a Physical Exam Form dated within 1 year of tryouts (held in May), with the understanding that they will submit an updated physical form later (if needed) per instructions above.  If you didn't keep a copy of your child's completed Physical Form, you can usually call your physician's office and they should be able to fill out another form; most offices have the form on-hand.

CLICK HERE for IHSAA Physical Exam Form

Note:  Only pages 1 and 2 of the IHSAA Form are required for our league; mail completed forms to:

ZYFL, P.O. Box 65, Zionsville, IN  46077

ASSISTANT COACH APPLICATIONS for 2009 Season

Coaches are a critical element of our youth football program.  They have direct contact with players at every practice and game, and they usually are the primary influence on player growth.  ZYFL is always looking to improve the composition and performance of our coaching ranks; not only do we try to select the best coaching candidates available, but we also foster their development through coaching clinics and/or pairing them up with more experienced coaches.  Please help continue our league's success by volunteering to be a coach TODAY!!!

Although Head coaches have already been selected for the 2009 season, every Head Coach may designate up to THREE (3) official Assistant Coaches; each of whom must submit an Online Coaching Application.

BUILDING THE COMPLETE ATHLETE
It isn't about how much you can lift, it is about how you can perform on the field and/or court as well as in life.  We believe in teaching and training our athletes to maximize their ability to function properly and control their own body weight before weights are taken into consideration.  Brian and his colleagues design programs that encompass both time honored exercises in the athletic industry along with some unconventional and innovative training techniques to build the complete athlete.  We build self-confidence and lay the foundation for a lifetime of physical fitness.

Who we train? How do we train?
Paying close attention to detail we teach and train functional range of motion, joint stability, rotational stability, run form, starting mechanics, change of direction mechanics, core strength, body weight strength and power, speed and agility etc.  When an athlete is ready and at the proper age weights will be implemented into their program.  We train athletes, male/female, of all ages and sports that are willing to accept an intense mental and physical challenge.  There are amateur athletes as young as age 9 years old through high school, collegiate, semi-pro, and pro athletes that participate in our programs.
