This year the Zoo Crew Basketball program will sponsor the 1st Annual Newark All-Star Game. The game will be played in April at Central High School. Their will be four games played...FR, Soph, JR, SR game..... More information to come

Former Zoo Crew Summer League player's DeSean Butler(West Virginia) and Ashton Gibbs(Pitt) both were named to the All Big East 1st Team....The Zoo Crew Summer League would like to acknowledge both player's who won a Championship in the Zoo Summer League. Gibbs played with The Family coached by his father and went undefeated in 2004 to capture the 8th grade division of the league. In 2005 Desean Butler teamed with Seton Hall player Keon Lawrence to lead the Newark Blaze to the High School Championsip, Butler was coached by his father who continues to participate in the league.
