Camp Out on eScoutz.com!

Hello eteamz fans,

Happy Halloween! Ahhh, fall, my favorite time of year. The temperature is perfect. The landscapes are colorful. Soccer and football games are being played everywhere, the baseball playoffs, etc. Most importantly, I get to eat a ton of junk all month long. I love the big bags of candy. Especially licorice and mini candy bars.

However, the intake of junk must be done with responsibility. I recently read an article on how childhood obesity is still on the rise. Very frustrating. What is being done? Are the right methods being implemented? Does the problem start at home? This is a very serious issue and I hope the eteamz community can help each other.

I think part of the problem is due to what I call "busy parenting." There are so many single parents, as well as families where both parents work. Parents are tired when they get home and have even more responsibility with chores and bills. You think the last thing they want to do is cook a healthy meal or exercise. A lot of junk and convenience foods are being consumed. Yes, better "fast foods" are being created, but are they really good for you? Does it all come down to portions and exercise? American portions are insane, and exercise increases energy. A little reprioritizing and motivation can have big results. Click here to voice your opinions and advice.

    Hello eteamz fans,

I hope you're having a great fall season! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, especially since moving from California to Boston a few years ago. What are your favorite things to do during the fall? Take my poll and let me know.

Accessing the Guestbook and Message Board
You must be an eteamz member in order to sign a guestbook and post on the message boards. Even if the pages are "open to all" you still need an eteamz account in order to sign/post. This is due to the Federal COPPA law explained at: http://www.eteamz.com/support/faq/member.cfm#register.

    Sponsor and Banner folders
If you don't see your Sponsor and Banner folders in Admin, then the problem is likely tied to Internet filters with Ad blockers. They have blocks set for banners and sponsors. Check your Norton, McAfee or other similar program such as Ad Subtract for the settings.

If you're using Norton you'll find instructions below. For other programs you can refer to the "help" section within that program for instructions.

    Norton's Personal Firewall:
  • Open the program and click the Options tab at the top. Then choose Personal Firewall
  • On the new screen, click the Web Content tab at the top of the window
  • Click the Ad Blocking tab that's to the right of the window pane
  • Remove the items \sponsor and \sponsors

    Norton's Personal Firewall 2004:
  • From main panel select Ad Blocking, then select Configure (not under options)
  • From the new window (#1) select Advanced
  • From the new window (#2) select the Ad Blocking tab
  • Scroll the list to find/delete /sponsor
