12th ANNUAL YORK SUMMER WRESTLING LEAGUE 2011
Welcome to The York Summer League Wrestling Site.
It's Official, we have a new first time Champion.
What a tournament and team race. And yes, Mr. Manley, I am sure that Coach Fuller was glad you came!! It was tied for awhile between Syracuse Green and Southwest Black, or so we thought (Yes, Manley, you knew not to fear). At one point we thought that Seward had overtaken SW BL and possibly tied Syracuse. But an error on my part was discovered and so we end up here. Great matches! Brackets J and Z were big in determining the team race. We also ended with a tie for 4th place between AC and Crete!
(Coach Barry I will be calling you about getting the medals to your boys, Seward guys I need to get you yours as well.)
I want to apologize to Southwest Black whom I shortchanged on the medals. Before I caught my error I gave you guys 3rd place medals. Coach Finley and I are going to arrange a swap at some point, so get your medals back to him. Thanks guys, you did a great job all year and I regret my error.
I want to thank everyone who helped at the tables, calling in wrestlers ahead of time and writing matches!!
