Baltimore City Track & Field Members Recognized for Outstanding Performances!
The following participants of the Baltimore City Track & Field Club were recognzed by the Sun Paper for outstanding performances in the City Indoor High School Championships.
Coach Jerry Molyneaux - Led Western to its 15th straight City Indoor Title
Letecia Wright (Western) - won the 55 meters, 55 meter hurdles, 300 meters and ran a leg on the winning 1600 meter relay.
Tashana Johnson (Western) - her picture is featured in the article
Angelo Diggs ( Digital Harbor) won the 800 meters
Justin Thomas (Digital Harbor) won the 55 meter hurdles
Jabre Parker (Digital Harbor) won the shot put
Lemuel Pridgen (Poly) third in the 500 meters

Marisa Meagher & John Greives Named Mid-Atlantic Sports Alliance Sportsmanship Award Recipients

Former coach Mike Hubbe praises Marisa's work ethic. "She was very coachable, always attentive, and absorbed instruction well. She is very deserving of the Player Sportsmanship Award." Marisa excels in all sports including soccer, softball, swimming, lacrosse, and hockey.
John Greives, Coach Sportsmanship Award winner, has coached numerous indoor and outdoor soccer teams. "His focus has always been on teaching and making sure the kids are having fun" says program chairperson Tony Powell. " John also gives freely of his time and he does not even have a child in the program!"

Erin Brooks Named Indoor Track "Athlete of the Week"
Baltimore Boxing Bash - Feb. 17 - Upton Boxing Center
Baltimore City Recreation and Parks presents fifteen amateur bouts at Upton Boxing Center. The Baltimore Boxing Bash will be held Saturday, February 17, at 7:00 p.m. Boxers from Baltimore, Washington D.C., New Jersey, and Virginia will compete.
