2006-2007 York Region Avengers Major Bantam Boys #2
Congratulations players for an outstanding season. It took a lot of hard work from October to now, to get the team ready for the Ontario Cup. You should be proud of the results and the accomplishments that you've made as a team.
We saw many individual skills improve, but the key to our success was the ability to work together as a team. This was best illustrated in the way you played defense against the best teams. This was the key to our success!
I truly hope you all learned a lot this season and have a new appreciation for the game of basketball. As I said on Sunday, I hope the memories of this season and your success will last a lifetime, and I also hope that the skills you developed this year will take you to the next level and continue to improve your game.
It was truly a pleasure coaching all of you this season, and the reward was watching the team accomplish so much, including the Silver Medal in the Blessed Sacrament Tournament.
Thanks again for a great season and parents for your ongoing support.
