York ME Little League: Welcome

Welcome Parents, Friends, Players, and Coaches

Welcome to the official site of York Maine Little League Baseball and Softball. We thank the community for continued support and strive to provide an environment where our children have fun learning the game of baseball & softball. York recognizes that children of Little League age are in their formative and impressionable years, and through good leadership and training, Little League teaches the children the values of teamwork, leadership, fair play, loyalty, and discipline. Little League play is geared to provide an outlet for healthy activity in an atmosphere of wholesome community participation, and is designed to enrich the lives of the children to help them in becoming responsible and successful adults. League Goals: We know that there are children and parents who are not interested in playing in a highly competitive environment at an early age, and we believe our programs respond appropriately to these desires. Please understand that while winning and losing are part of the game, we do not promote winning at all cost, and especially at the expense of a child’s self esteem. After all, it is only a game. We will adhere to the specific rules of Little League Baseball and Softball, and intend to run a program with a “keep it simple and make it fun” philosophy. Your child’s participation in York Little League is intended to be a beneficial and positive one. The objective is to provide healthy activity while promoting an appreciation for good sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.

 York Little Leagues Mission Statement

We strive to provide a culture that encourages participation and makes each child feel like an important part of the team.
