Profile: 2013 will mark Coach Castles 18th season as Head Coach of Yolo Post 77. Coach Castles has transformed Yolo Post 77 into one of the elite American Legion Baseball programs in the State of California. Since 2000, Coach Castles has amassed an overall record of 346-143 (.708 winning percentage). Under Castles leadership, Post 77 has won the Area 1 Tournament four times. The four area titles allowed Post 77 to participate in the California American Legion Baseball State Tournament in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007. In 2002, Post 77 finished second in the State of California earning the team a spot in the American Legion Northwest Regional. The 2002 team finished two wins shy of the American Legion World Series. Since 2000, more than 50 Post 77 alumni have played college and/or pro baseball.

Coach Castles is a 1990 Graduate of Davis Senior High School (Davis, CA) and a 1995 graduate of the University of California, Davis. Coach Castles now lives in Davis, CA with his wife of 10 years Nicole and their nine year old daughter Emily and six year old son Caden.
