Yolo Post 77 Baseball: Welcome
|
6/20/11
We will celebrate Scott Heinig Night on Sunday, June 26th. Game time is 7pm and we will have a jersey retirement ceremony and the unveiling a banner that will hang at Clark Field to honor Scott. I hope to see as many alumni as possible.
We had a solid performance at the Chico Father's Day Tournament going 3-1-1. We are swinging the bats much better and starting to come together.
Our record now stands at 11-6-1.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the passing of one of Yolo Post 77's most beloved family members. On Sunday, April 17, 2011, Scott Heinig (Post 77 player 2005-2007) passed away at the young age of 22. Scott helped lead our club to the 2007 Area 1 Championship and a berth in the State Tournament. Scott absolutely dominated that summer easily earning our clubs MVP award. Scott was not only an amazing player, he was an equally amazing person. He was one of a kind and a true pleasure to coach. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have been one of Scott's friends. Scott was a friend to everyone who knew him and the type of player and person who was respected by all.
Scott, you will truly be missed by everyone in the Post 77 family. I can only hope to touch as many lives in my life time as you have in the short 22 years you were with us. Until we meet again, I love you and will miss your energetic personality and infectious smile. Save a spot for me in the rotation!
