Findlay Young Miss Softball
Findlay Young Miss Softball was formed to provide recreational softball opportunities to young ladies in the Findlay area. We currently field Recreational Slow Pitch teams for ages 6-18. Handout: 2010 Registration Form Friday, February 19
2010 Registration is available now!
It's time to register for the 2010 season. Registration forms are currently available on this website (listed above as a handout) and in the lobby at The Cube. All area girls, ages 6 through 18, are eligible to play. Divisions eligibility is determined by your age as of January 1, 2010. Due to policy changes, forms are no longer available in any Findlay City Schools. All other area schools should have forms available in their office.

Junior Draft
New players to the Junior Division (ages 11-13) will be drafted to teams on March 20th (Saturday). The Junior Draft will be held at Faith Academy School - 701 Adams St. If the weather is good we will hold it outside at Rawson Park. The draft begins with one group at 9:00. We have a second group at 11:00. Someone will contact you with your assigned time if you are already registered. If you don't hear from us be there at 9:00. This is not a tryout. All players are drafted to teams. If you can't be present on draft day, you will be assigned to a team by being picked "out of the hat". You may walk-in and register the day of the draft at either time. Registrations for all other Divisions will be accepted that day as well. Saturday, March 13
Registration Deadlines
Registrations are due by March 15th for Rookie (ages 6-8), Bantam (ages 8-10), and Junior (ages 11-13) Divisions. Late registrations will be accepted for a period of time after the due date for the Rookie, Bantam, and Junior Divisions. For team planning purposes, please try to get them in ASAP. Registrations are due by April 15th for the Senior (ages 14-18) Division. Mailing instructions are on the registration form.

New for 2010
All players are required to provide a copy of their Birth Certificate this season. You can mail it in with your registration, provide it to the coach of the team you are returning to, provide it the coach of the team you are assigned to (Rookie and Bantam Divisions), or bring it on draft day (Junior and Senior Divisions). Once you provide this, you will not need to do this each year.
New Helmet Rule for 2009
All players will be required to wear a helmet, with chinstrap and faceguard, while batting and running the bases. In the past we have not required the faceguard. We have made this change for the safety of the players. We received a grant from the Ohio Ophthalmological Society that provided new helmets for our teams. You are still encouraged to provide helmets of your own. If you have a helmet already, most sporting goods stores have a kit you can buy to add a faceguard. You will need to know the the brand and model in order to get the right kit. Kits exist for most brands. Be sure you are getting softball helmets, and faceguard kits for softball helmets, when purchasing. Baseball is different.
