yboa alabama: HOW TO JOIN YBOA?

All Documents needed to join YBOA are listed on the home page under FORMS.
Step 1
Register your Association with YBOA TODAY!
If you have 1 or 2 teams in your Association, you will need to send your information via the mail and not online.
The cost for 1 team is $35.00. The cost for 2 teams is $70.00. The cost for 3 or more teams is $100.00
To get the price for 1 or 2 teams, you will need to fill out the Association Form. You can then Fax or Email Dee Parks. Her fax number is 407-363-0599 and her email address is dparks@yboa.org. If you have 3 or more teams, you will then register your team via the website, www.yboa.com or you can Fax or Email to the numbers listed above.
Once you have registered your team, you will be given a LOGIN number. You can then go to www.yboa.org and sign in and register your players online. .
YBOA Associations are organized to develop and promote youth basketball programs. An Association can be made up of one or many teams from the same geographical area. YBOA requires organizations (travel teams, leagues, recreation centers, YMCA's, PAL'S etc..) to join as independent associations. This will maintain the flow of information to each Association and will allow YBOA to keep the Association informed of current information and services. Member Associations enjoy the following benefits:
1. Discounted insurance programs to all members.
2. Hundreds of sanctioned tournaments throughout the United States and abroad which are available only to active member teams.
3. Fundraising programs are available to help our members meet their growing financial needs.
4. Member Associations receive NetNews and FastBreak quarterly ,and as available, a complimentary issue of Time Out or a publications of similar interest.
5. Discounted prices on equipment, basketballs, uniforms, and YBOA official merchandise.
Step 2
Register your Coach with YBOA TODAY!
The cost is $20.00 per Coach.
Membership is available only to coaches, officials, and administrators who are involved in any organized youth sports activity other than at the high school or college level. To sit on the sidelines, YBOA requires that each coach join this association and receive the following benefits:
1. Membership provides insurance coverage ($25,000 secondary accident and $3,000,000 liability) from September 1, through August 31 annually. This coverage is unique in the fact that it is not only in effect for YBOA events, but will also cover individuals for any sport they coach or officiate, other than at the high school or college level.
2. Members receive quarterly issues of the Coach and Officials Association newsletter, FastBreak, plus four issues of YBOA's Association newsletter, NetNews.
3. Merchandise is available on the YBOA website.
4. Members receive a YBOA pin designed to highlight the number of years of service in this organization.
Step 3
Register your Players with YBOA after your Association has been registered and you received your login information!
$13.00 per player (September 1st through August 31st annually)
Each player participating in the a YBOA sanctioned event must be a member of YBOA. Membership (including insurance) is good for all tournaments including Nationals throughout the year (September 1st through August 31st annually). Membership also covers the Association members in any tournament or league play in which he/she participates while an Association Member of YBOA.
Step 4
Prior to playing the first tournament, mail a copy of the following documents to John Allen, YBOA State Director:
- Association Registration form
- Coach registration form
- Player Registration form (Including all players names)
- Birth Certificate
- Current report card for any age exception players
