Yalesville Little League: News: Player Eligibility- who can play
Player Eligibility- who can playCutoff Date: Little League Baseball now uses April 30th as the cutoff date in determining a players age for the season.
Ages: Any player who will be between the ages of 5 and 15 by April 30th is eligible to play in Yalesville Little League.
Minimum Age by Division: (based on age as of April 30th date)
T-Ball/Clinic- A player must be at least 5 years old.
AA Minors- A player must be at least 7 years old. (Exception: If a player is 6 years old but has played at least one full season of T-Ball in Yalesville Little League and is clearly ready for the next step, he/she may sign up for AA.)
AAA Minors- A player must be at least 8 years old, and must be drafted up to this level in order to move up (if they have not already played in AAA). Returning AAA players must still be evaluated and drafted onto a team. Players who do not attend evaluations are not eleigible to be drafted to a AAA team.
Majors- Player must be at least 10. Returning Majors players do not need to be evaluated and will be placed on the same team as last year, assumming they are no older than 12 for the upcoming year. Players who have not yet played at the Majors level and new players moving in from another league must be evaluated and drafted onto a Majors team in order to play at this level. Players must attend evaluations in order to be eliigible to be drafted to a majors team.
Junior League- Player must be between the ages of 13 and 15. Player is subject to evaluation and draft for team placement.
Challengers- For players with disabilities between the ages of 5 and 18.
