Xtreme '97 go 4-2 at NSA Sterling Invite with Strong Showing
The Xtreme '97 hit the field in 90 degree weather over in Wenatchee for the Sterling Invite over Memorial Day Weekend. Pool play of 5 games resulted in us having a 4-1 record with strong wins over some good 2nd year '96 teams. Point differential had us playing in the Gold Bracket as a 3rd seed against the eventual 1st place finisher Walla Walla Fusion in the first game on Monday. We nearly had the Fusion put away deep into the game up 5-2 before a few errors got the best of us. "Next time" was the word of the girls after the game. All-in-all a successful weekend where we focused on our intensity and plate discipline resulting in some very good at-bats.
Besides the great softball we had our usual fun off the field with swimming and time just 'hangin out'.
2nd Place - Acers Mothers Day Invite

Xtreme '97 Take 2nd Place (Silver) at Acers Mothers Day Invite
We've been working hard on and off the field fine-tuning our position play and bats so we decided to crank it up this weekend and play some "A" ball as a first year 12 team at the Acers Mothers Day Invite.
We finished as one of the last teams off the field on Sunday with a 2nd place trophy in the Silver bracket. We played a number of solid Washington and Oregon teams all weekend and our pitching and defense were strong all the way.
