We strive at X-Treme Fastpitch Softball to instill good sportmanship and a love of the Game.
About X-Treme Fastpitch Softball
X-Treme Fastpitch Softball is an all volunteer not-for profit program. We field teams in all age groups and compete in highly competitive leagues based in WNY. Tournament play involves local as well as out of town competition. Our teams are sanctioned by NSA & ASA.

Congratulations to the 14U Nye team of Heather, Katie & Rachel for winning the 1st annual X-Treme inter-squad hitting tournament. All the teams did a great job and had loads of fun. A special thanks to 16U coaches Pete Lotocki & Jeff Benz for arranging and coordinating the tournament.

X-Treme 18U is looking for a middle infielder, pitcher, and outfielder to round out its 2010 team. 16 year olds looking for a second team or to play up are welcome! X-treme will be holding 2 catching clinic sessions. Instructor: Jesse Rosenhahn
Session 1-Monday, November 2nd 7pm-9pm-had a large group and was very informative for both players & coaches.
Session 2-Monday, February 8th 2010 7pm-9pm Blasdell Elementary

X-TREME TRAINING FACIITY
The X-Treme Training Facility remolding is complete. New lighting has been installed, fresh paint plus a new net purchased. The facility will feature 2 batting cages for in door training. There were many volunteers, but a special thanks to Mark Kent for the light installation.

THE GAME OF SOFTBALL
The game we know today as softball was invented by George Hancock in 1887 at the Farragot Boat Club in Chicago. Hancock intended softball to be a game the rich
members of the boat club could play indoors. Later, however, an outdoor version of the game, called Kittenball, was developed by Lewis Rober. Who in turn, introduced it to his fellow Minneapolis firemen. Today, softball is played all over the world by literally millions of people from all walks of life.
