ALL-STAR VOTING: 

Players voting for 10/11, 11/12 and Junior league all-stars will take place Thursday night before each of the games.

Players voting for 9/10 year old team will vote Saturday night before their games.

 MANAGERS WILL VOTE NEXT WEEK:   TIME & PLACE TBA

The commitment letter for your player is due to an executive board member no later than FRIDAY, MAY 18th!    More information is available below.     The participation fee for all-stars is $100.    Be sure and read the commitment form fully.     If selected, you son is committing the first part of his summer solely to baseball!!!

TWO EVENTS TO MARK YOUR CALENDER FOR:  

June 4th-14th:   City tournament;   the top two teams in AAA,Majors, Juniors & Seniors are eligable to compete in the city tournament.   Check your calenders if you are on a contending team.   If your player is going to be unavailable, please let your coach know ASAP.

June 15th-mid July:   All-Star practice/tournaments;    WLL fields a 9-10 yr. old team;  a 10-11 yr. old team;  a 11-12 yr. old team;  a 13-14 yr. old team;  a 15-16 year old team;

If your player is interested in all-stars, go to our 'handouts' section and copy the '2012 all-star commitment' letter.   Read and discuss the commitment that is required from the letter.   Little League all-stars is a huge player/family commitment.    Because of the intense competition, there is no room for camps, reunions, family vacations, etc...  during this time period.

IF YOUR FAMILY, AFTER READING AND SIGNING THE COMMITMENT FORM, WISH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ELECTION TO AN ALL-STAR TEAM, THEN TURN IN YOUR COMMITMENT FORM TO YOUR MANAGER OR AN EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 18th.   PLAYER ELECTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE THE FOLLOWING WEEK.  

PARENTS AND COACHES,

The league needs your help!    Please help us keep our park clean!    We are a volunteer organization and we are only as good as each of us makes it.    Also, if you find that there is a need some where, fill it!!!!   Every game we need adults to run the scoreboards and to announce.   Please help make your little one's baseball experience a good one.

Bat Questions for 2012 Season??

Little League International has handed down their 2012 bat rules.  The following link will take you to their website.     Be sure to read these rules as they have included penalties this year for using an 'illegal' bat.   These rules apply to Little League as well as Junior/Senior leagues.

Managers & coaches, please remember this:

The little ones that we touch today are not going to remember 5 yrs. from now who won 1st place or who came in last.    They are going to remember the 'experience'!!   None of us are going to get the 'call' from the big leagues to manage based on our won/lose records;   But, one of our young men may come to us down the road with a rememberance of something nice we did in their lives!    Remember the big picture here guys:   We're helping to mold our future out there!!    Enjoy the experience!  Man, it goes by quickly!!!!
