Hello Parents and Athletes
I am pleased to send this email to you and your athletes as they are now age eligible to attend the U16 Skill Development ID Camps. Last years team represented our region very well last year at the 2011 Red River Cup held here on Brandon. Our region has been represented both years by our boys in this tournament. We have now made the commitment to once again attend the 2012 Red River Cup in Winnipeg for a third straight year.
The WYFA executive is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Grindey from Vincent Massey Vikings Football to the head coaching position for the 2012 U16 program. Kevin brings to the program a great enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for young athletes. Kevin has developed a great staff to assist in his quest of the U16 program.
This is where you and your athletes are needed. We will offer two ID camps in the month of March prior to our main camps. We'd like to give you the opportunity to come out and participate in two great days of skill development in the sport of football. This is for any athletes interested in pursuing the sport of football or to just learn the game and it's skill sets. The camps will run in Brandon on
Saturday March 3, 2012 at Vincent Massey from 10:00 - 12:00 and 1:30 - 3:30 in the gym.
Thursday March 22, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Crocus Plains. The cost to attend both camps will be only $20.00.
Please wear full equipment and appropriate running shoes for indoor use.
A rural ID camp will be set and run at a later date however everyone is welcome to attend the Brandon Camps.
Any cheques will be made payable to WYFA. Registration forms will be sent out in the next week with a letter about the whole process of U16.
