World Yacht Clippers Baseball: Welcome
|
The 2012 Clippers Baseball Club
welcomes you to their site.
THE WORLD YACHT CLIPPERS PROGRAM, ALSO RECOGNIZED AS "CLIPPERS BASEBALL" AND THE "WESTCHESTER CLIPPERS" ARE SET TO BEGIN THEIR 11TH YEAR OF COMPETITIVE PLAY. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME A PART OF A "GREAT RIDE"
If your a serious player, looking to play a serious schedule, for a program that has put more high school players on college rosters then any other program in the Northeast, then the CLIPPERS are for you. Our program remains one of the most sought after, recruited programs around.
This summer will be one of the finest as far as the quality of the schedule and travel as well as the talent level of the players involved.
The Clippers CDP (College Development Program) is one of the finest, most respected programs around. What is a CDP? This is a program where we take away the emphasis on winning and trophies and concentrate on showcasing our players for their futures in college baseball.
If your looking for a program to be involved with, make sure you find out what their goals are for their players. Don't wait until the end and have the coach tell you "We are a tournament team, not a showcase or CDP".
When you are looking for a program, always check every thing out. Similar to buying a car, check under the hood and kick the tires. What does the program do for you in comparison to what you are looking for.
Is your goal to play college baseball?
Does this program have a reputation for getting players into college baseball programs?
Is this a program that plays in tournaments where college coaches recruit from?
Does the program have connections with colleges and college coaches?
How well does the program and coaches know the recruiting process?
Does the program offer recruiting seminars or information on the process?
Is the program all about winning or is it about the future of it's players?
OFTEN IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED !!!
******************************************************
The Clippers mission statement and philosophy is simple "...play hard, work hard, and show respect at all times, not only on the field."
The dedication and commitment to the team concept is evident in not only the results or box scores, but in the family atmosphere created on and off the field.
Treat each of your teammates as your brother and always have his back.
Always understand that imitation is the greatest compliment. What we have here is special, what you read here is special. Keep in mind where you're from and the ideals we teach here.
Recently one of the Clippers Captains and an original Clipper, said "Coach, for years you told us to play hard at all times, now I see why. Every game we play now, there are college coaches watching. We have to play hard at all times because as you always said " YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S WATCHING". We really understand it now". As coaches we're glad the message has been told and understood.

The Clippers 2011 season comes to an end with the Halloween Weekend. With many miles traveled this summer and fall, it's bitter sweet when the last tournaments come around. Jupiter was a great opportunity for many of our seniors to get that one last chance to find the one coach who likes them. A few took advantage of the opportunity. Our 2013 guys really played well and the experience will go a long way helping them relax in tough situations next year.
The 2012 "WINTER CLINIC" is right around the corner. Many college coaches have inquired about the opportunity to come up and work the clinic. It just keeps getting better every year. Space is going to be very limited, so get your applications in early to hold your spot. Once it's filled, we're done.
Be a part of big things in 2012 !!!! Sign up early. Don't get let outside the gates.
