Mass Vikings Lacrosse: About Us

Mass Vikings is a Select, Boys, Off-Season Lacrosse Organization dedicated to the Eastern and Central Mass areas.  Our program fields a full range of age and grade based teams, and is designed for those individuals who are looking to elevate their game to the next level.

Mass Vikings is a competitive boys lacrosse program that is committed to providing the youth and young men of the Eastern and Central Mass areas with the opportunity to become better lacrosse players by learning under some of the finest High School and youth lacrosse coaches in the region. 

It is OUR philosphy to teach advanced, individual skills and focus on Player Development with a dedicated team philosophy.  Insodoing, we instill discipline, respect, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork to our players.  Our ultimate goal is to prepare our players mentally, physically and fundamentally, to compete with the best players in the region and make an immediate impact at the High School Varsity and College levels.

It is OUR goal to provide the young athletes within our select program, with an opportunity to receive outstanding instruction, in a team oriented, professional and postitive coaching environment. We strive to teach players to keep high standards and to play at their best, and train for excellence. 

Mass Vikings Lax currently fields teams at the U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels, from grades 4-12.  We begin team selection in the Fall. Our roster slots are limited, and membership with the Mass Vikings is a result of a mandatory competitive coached evaluation(tryouts). We conduct a fee-based tryout for all levels. Please look for dates and times to be announced in early August.

If you are selected to join Mass Vikings, we have tryouts in September and follow with outdoor (weekend only) October practices.  The winter season starts in November and concludes in March. The season consists of weekly practices, competitive games, league championship before "SPRING BREAK", when players join their town and HS teams.  All teams re-convene in mid June, for weekly practices after their town and High School seasons have ended. Weekly practices are in preparation for at least 3 Summer tournaments. The annual mid July New England Youth Lacrosse All-Star Tournament @ UMass Amherst is one that all Mass Viking teams attend.
