Van Cortlandt Park Directions

By Car: Take the BQE to the Triboro Bridge. After the bridge, stay left and take the Major Deegan expressway to the Van Cortlandt Park exit. Proceed 1 block to Broadway (under the elevated train). Make a right onto Broadway and proceed several blocks to the Park. The meeting spot will be on the treeline side of the field, near the race finishline (this is directly across the field from the historic Tortoise and Hare statue.

You may also take the FDR to the Major Deegan.

You may also take the West Side Highway to the Henry Hutchinson Parkway, exiting at the Broadway/VCP exit. All lead to the Park.

By Subway: The northern terminus of the 1/9 at West 242nd Street is near the Parade Ground.

By Bus: The Bx9 travels along Broadway on the western edge of Van Cortlandt Park. The BxM3, an express line serving Manhattan, also offers access to the park's western border. The park's east side is served by the Bx16 and the Bx34. Westchester bus lines numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 20, and 21 also serve the park.
