Walla Walla Valley Little League: FAQs
Should I sign up for Valley Little League or Pacific Little League?
Check out the Bounday Map section in the column to the left.
Does my child need to try out?
All players ages 9-12 must try out if not already placed on a Majors team.
Can my 5 year-old play Coach Pitch?
No.
Can my 6 year-old play Coach Pitch?
Only if he or she played "A" T-ball the previous year.
Can my 8 year-old play AAA (player pitch)?
8 year-olds may try out to play AAA, but the number of spots available depends on the number of 9-11 year-olds that turnout. 9-11 year-olds have priority for placement in AAA. Tryout times for 8 year-old are the same as tryouts for 9-10 year-olds.
What is the league age?
The age your child will be on May 1st. For example, if your child turns 11 on May 5th, he or she will play as a 10 year-old for the entire season.
Can my child re-enter the Majors Draft if he or she doesn't like the team from last year?
The WWVLL board must approve any player wishing to re-enter the draft. Only extreme cases will be considered. Draft re-entry may result in the player returning to AAA. (See League Rules in the “Handouts” for more details)
What if I have a problem with my child’s Coach?
Please discuss the issue with the Coach as soon as possible. If adequate resolution is not achieved, contact a board member to have the issue brought before the board. No issues will be presented to the board until the Coach / Parent dialog has taken place.
