The Pack is Back !
The Wolfpack may have had sub-par spring season but a new and improved Pack showed up for the OBGC Capital Cup this past weekend. This "platinum" tournament consisted of all Division1 & 2 NCSL teams and proved to be challenging for all. On Saturday the Pack faced off with a familiar foe the LMVS Hawks. The Hawks came out strong in the first minutes and scored two goals however the Pack battled back and reclaimed those two goals by half-time. The second half was extremely exciting with the momentum swinging back and forth however with a few minutes left the Hawks scored and the game ended 3-2. This loss did not deter the Pack. They faced ASC Storm, another Div. 1 team and dominated the entire game with a 2-1 win. Sunday, the boys faced off with Eastern Shore FC. The Pack completely dominated this game and rarely let the ball advance across half field. The 4-1 win gave them the opportunity to advance to the semi-finals against tournament host OBGC Rangers. The match was played evenly by both sides and remained scoreless at halftime. The second half provided many opportunites for the Pack however the Rangers came out on top with a score of 1-0. Great tournament Wolfpack and good luck in the upcoming NCSL season.

Wolfpack Ties PWSI Courage 95 Red
The Wolfpack met Prince William Courage Sunday at FSK High School. The Pack had never lost to this team but found themselves down 2-0 by halftime. After a well-needed halftime break and a inspirational talk by Coach Bird, the Pack found themselves in a more eager mood to start the second half. The entire second half was dominated by the Pack and they were able to battle back to a score of 2-2 by the ending whistle. The Wolfpack heads to Columbia, MD this weekend to play in the SAC Memorial Day Tournament. Go Wolfpack and Good Luck in the Tournament.

Wolfpack off to Rough Start this Spring
The start of the spring season has not been a memorable one. To the credit of the Wolfpack, many setbacks have contributed to the play this year. Going on a 0-5 record as of this date, the Pack has had several illnesses, muscle tears, and conflicting spring sports schedules. The boys continue to work very hard and still have an incredible desire to win. The Wolfpack will host the Olney Rangers this Sunday at Francis Scott Key High School in Union Bridge for all who want to see U11 soccer at its best.

Wolfpack Takes Finalist Trophy Home in the Bethesda Thanksgiving Day Tournament !
Congratulations to WWSC Wolfpack for providing a thrilling spectacle for all of us to see this weekend at the Bethesda Thanksgiving Day Tournament held at the Polo Grounds in Darnestown, MD. Rated as one of the top premier youth tournaments in the United States with teams from as far away as Massachusetts to Georgia, this events attracts the best teams in the nation. Due to the rain, the whole event was held on Sunday for the U11 group which made for an exhausting day. The Wolfpack started the day facing off with Richmond Strikers Rooney. The Pack showed their aggresiveness early and quickly went in the win column with a 2-0 victory. The Pack next faced the SYC White Tigers out of Springfield, Virginia. The game was played with a lot of enthusiam by both sides and the Pack kept the offensive pressure up for most of the game. After approximately 20 shots on goal the Pack could not find the back of the net and the score ended with a 0-0 tie. In order to clinch the Championship berth the Wolfpack needed to beat PWSI Courage Red who in their own right was an extremely physical team. The fans on both sides were geared for this game because the Pack had faced this team twice before and had beaten them. This game would not change their streak against this team, the Pack won 1-0 and was headed to the Championships against another tough team, the Lee-Mount Vernon Patriots. The Pack started the game a man down due to an injury suffered by Chad "Chuck Fu" Barcikowski, but the wore down Pack continued to pursue the win at any cost. LMVS scored the first goal early but was followed by the Pack and went into the half even. The second half was even more exciting with the score bouncing back and forth to a final score of 3-3. A five minute Golden-Goal started and unfortunately LMVS scored within the first 2 minutes to take the title. The Wolfpack should be proud of all their accomplishments this year and has definetly made a name for themselves around the country. On behalf of the parents and fans I would like to thank Coach's "Bird" Brown and Rich Gruber for their time and dedication to the players and the sport, I would also like to thank the players for always providing exciting outcomes in all their games.

Wolfpack Ties This Weekend
The Wolfpack traveled to Cloverly, MD today for a match-up with MSC United 96. The Pack came out strong and scored 2 goals in the first half however shortly before the half, the Pack fouled in the penalty box and gave MSC their first goal on a penalty kick. The second half was played with as much determination as the first. Both teams fought hard for the final 30 minutes and on a MSC corner kick late in the half they scored their second goal which deflected off of a Wolfpack player for an "own" goal. The game ended 2-2. The Wolfpack travels next Sunday to Ashburn, Virginia to take on the ASC Storm at 3:00 pm.

Wolfpack Beats PWSI Courage 95 Red
The Wolfpack defeated the Prince William Courage this afternoon by a score of 4-0. PWSI who is currently ranked by www.soccerincollege.com as #7 in the country traveled to the home field of the Wolfpack only to find a team ready to win at any cost. The Pack started the game with a quick goal off of a corner followed by another before halftime. During the second half the Pack tacked on 2 more goals and settled for an end score of 4-0. The Wolfpack has proved to be an incredible team and truly deserves Division #1 Status in the NCSL.

Wolfpack Adds Another Win in Division 1
The Wolfpack added another win this weekend to their total in Division #1 by defeating the LMVSA Patriots by a score of 3-2. This was one of those games that you didn't want to see any team lose however the "Pack" prevailed. The game went back and forth with the Pack scoring first followed by a late 1st half goal by the Patriots. The Wolfpack came out in the 2nd half on fire and held the Patriots in one of the best soccer games imaginable. Nice job Wolfpack and see you next weekend at home versus the MCLN MPS 95 Titans Green.

Wolfpack had a great run at 2006 US Futsal Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship
The Pack recently walked away as a semi-finalist at the 2006 Futsal Regionals. The Pack went undefeated up through the Semi-Finals by beating ABGC Firestorm (VA) 8-4, Barbarians(PA West) 10-3, LSTS Futsal (NJ) 6-2, and United Academy Brazil (MD) 1-1. The Wolfpack eventually met the Globetrotters in the Semi-Finals which was the team they had defeated for the State Cup this year. The Globetrotters and the Pack played a great game and the Pack lost 4-2. It has been a great Futsal season for the Wolfpack considering that just 2 months ago none of the boys knew nothing of the sport which tells all to watch out for next season. Congratulations to Ben Higgins for making the All-Regional Futsal Team.
