West Valley Soccer U6 & U7 ID Program

To all West Valley Soccer (WVSL) U6 & U7 Coaches and Families,

As we had previously announced, we will be holding special training sessions on designated Sundays at Pierce College.

The 2nd will be Nov 18th

WVSL ID U6 & U7 Cancelled11/18 (poor field conditions) We will play TBA

Although all players are welcome to attend, these sessions will be designed for players that are demonstrating higher aptitude levels and a higher degree of athleticism. The sessions will be conducted by selected RSC trainers and the most experienced WVSL coaches. These Sunday clinics are an additional service and part of our player identification program, and will in no way conflict with or alter current WVSL team participation or all-comers Friday afternoon clinics at Pierce College.

We look forward to seeing you!

Q - Is this program instead of the U7 All-Star weekend

A - No Your coaches will still nominate All-Stars in the U7 divisions for the All-Star weekend.

We do not have an All-Star weekend for the U6 division.

Q - Is this program only for players that have an interest in playing on a Real So Cal team.

A - No This program is for anybody that would like to train at a higher level. No commitment to play on a Real So Cal team is needed

Q - Is there a fee for this program

A - No The program is free to any registered West Valley Soccer League player

Q - Why is West Valley Soccer League trying to identify players with higher soccer aptitude and athleticism.

A - There are two sides to our program West Valley Soccer League for recreational players and Real So Cal for the higher level players. This is often referred to as the competitive program.

WVSL - Is a recreational program open to all players that register no tryouts or selection process is used to place players on a team. These teams are coached by volunteer parents

Real So Cal -  Is our competitive program where players are placed on teams based on ability and athleticism. These teams are coached by professional coaches.

We are very proud of the fact that Real So Cal is ranked in the top 10 of clubs in the United States. We have teams playing at the very highest level of youth soccer in this country. We are also very proud of the fact that many of our players go on to play for D1 & D2 Colleges and some move on to play professional soccer.

For us to have players at the highest level at 18 years of age we need to work with our most athletic players at an early age and offer these players the programs that will help them become the best soccer player they can be.
