For the third year in a row the Willamette Valley Baseball Academy will be offering area Babe Ruth players an opportunity to be part of the WV Select. We will be forming teams for the following age groups: 9-10 years old and 11-12 years old. Last year we had over 70 players participating in WV Select.

 

Each WV Select player will get to participate in the Louisville Slugger Wood Bat Tournament held at the Babe Ruth Complex on July 5-7. This will be a four to five game tournament with teams from all over the state.

 

There will also be a two week baseball camp (June 24-27/July 1-3) where players will get high level instruction on hitting, pitching, infield, outfield and base running. We will also have special breakout sessions for pitchers and catchers. The camps will be held at the Sheldon Babe Ruth fields at ECF and will run from 9:30am-12pm each day. Current and former high school coaches and experienced Babe Ruth coaches will be leading the drills in camps.

 

Players who choose to be part of the WV Select will get the following:

 

Entry into the Louisville Slugger Wood Bat Tournament (4-5 games)

2 weeks of baseball camp

Flex fit hat

Baseball jersey 

High level baseball instruction (pitching/hitting/catching/infield/outfield)

Non league games against Select and All Star teams

 

The cost to participate is $115 for each player and this will cover all of the previously mentioned items.
