Parents F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)

Parents can find useful information throughout this website. Some of the most commonly asked questions can be answered here & help get you started!

 How to I register?

Registration is very easy. We now have Online registration available!  Click on "Registration" in the sidebar for more information.    All players and a guardian/parent are required to attend one of our Registration/Evaluation events to ensure proper uniform sizing, complete the required forms, and evaluate the player's ability.  Evaluations are NOT tryouts!  Boys and Girls 8 and under are not required to evaluate, but still need to come to a Registration/Evaluation event for uniform sizing.

How do I know which fee to pay?

Registration fees are based on the participants' level of play. You will find a information describing these levels on the Registration page. If you are unsure, try and pick the level that best fits your child's' age and/or skill level. If they are placed on a lower or higher tier than anticipated, your registration fee will be adjusted accordingly.

When are the practices and games?

Practices start in March with games beginning the second week of April. (April 12th is Opening Day)

I've registered my child, now what?

Registration continues through March. Teams will then be assembled, coaches will be notified and then they will contact you directly with practice times and more specific information.

Based on our address, can my child play for your league?

Click here for the Willamette Valley Little League boundary map. If you are unsure, please contact us before registering your child. Although we try and keep the information as up to date as possible, changes occur from time to time.

Is my child old enough to play?

All children attaining ages 5 through 18 as of April 30, 2008, are eligible.

I'd like to volunteer, what could I do to help?

Our success depends on the volunteer support we receive, and we welcome your participation. If you are interested in helping with coaching, umpiring, or organizing, please complete the included Volunteer Application and return it with your child's registration form. Please note: Little League now REQUIRES a completed Volunteer Application form and a criminal background check as conditions of participation.

If you have additional questions, please use our contact links and someone will be in touch as soon as possible.
