Welcome to

Willamette Valley Little League ®

serving the high school boundaries of Springfield, Pleasant Hill, Lowell, Dexter, Marcola, Mohawk, Fall Creek, Oakridge, and a portion of Thurston in Lane County, Oregon

WVLL is a chartered affiliate of Little League Baseball and Softball, Inc.
Little League does not limit participation in its activities on the basis of disability, race, creed, color, national origin, gender, sexual preference or religious preference, and will not turn any child away for lack of or limited funds.

The objective of Willamette Valley Little League is to support children of our community by instilling the ideals of integrity, teamwork, sportsmanship, courage, and respect so that they may become decent, productive members of the community. Confidential Scholarships are available upon request.

Willamette Valley Little League offers a program for youth ages 5 through 18 ... partnering your community with the largest Child Development Program in the world - and including:

  • Co-ed Tee-Ball
  • Co-ed Baseball - Coach Pitch Minors, Player Pitch Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors and Big League
  • Girls' Softball - Coach Pitch Minors, Player Pitch Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors and Big League
  • and Little League's "adaptive baseball" program - the Challenger Division for children with "disabilities"

Little League is run entirely by gracious volunteers who donate their time and energy to help put each season together for all of our children.   Any assistance is appreciated - even if its only an hour of your time.  Additionally, WVLL is registered as a non-profit  - donations of funds and/or materials will greatly offset the expense of operating the program so we can keep any fee requested to a minimum.

Remember:  If you will be spending any time in direct contact with the players in any way, a Volunteer Form must be completed, a government-issue photo i.d. viewed (preferring a photocopy copy with the Volunteer Form), and Little League requires we run a background/sex offender registry check prior to your being with the kids.
This site and the NEW Business Telephone Line will be updated with current information.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via e-mail

or by phone at (541) 747-9774
Thank you,
Shawndel Lindfors, Appointed Interim President
Willamette Valley Little League

The Behind-The-Scenes activity is EXCITING to be a part of, and your involvement could make all the difference in the world!

"Fifty years from now, it won't matter who hit the home run, caught the fly ball, or struck out in our Little League games, BUT the world may well be a better place because YOU took the time to be a positive influence in the life of at least ONE child!"

To register for participation, Little League requires the child be of the appropriate age and legally reside within the boundaries of the league they are applying to.

We are proud to be part of Oregon District 9, and invite you to visit the District website at www.oregondistrict9littleleague.com

 *  Chartered Oregon District 9 Little Leagues:

Here is basic information (including contact websites, phone numbers) for the five current chartered leagues in our District.  Leagues can only register players legally residing within the boundaries served by their specific league.  If you are uncertain as to which league you reside in, the school boundaries listed below should be helpful, and you are also encouraged to e-mail the league, including the physical street address where the child resides, for additional information.

Specific to Registrations across all of Little League:  Each season, three varied proof of residence documents (e.g. a drivers license, (1) utility bill, vehicle registration document, school document - all with the legal residence noted) and the child's Original or Certified Copy of the Government-Issued Birth Certificate must be viewed by an authorized League Board Member prior to the child's participation in any league-related event.

Click on the league name to visit their individual website and learn more about each of our leagues  or click here to visit our District's Website and learn more about what Little League is all about!

Here is a general timeline/overview of the local Little League season:

*  Registration and Evaluations generally begin the end of January and first part of February - see Calendar at left.
*  Practices generally begin in mid-March. Your Coach or Team Parent will contact your child to notify them of the team they are assigned to and when & where practice will be.
*  Regular season scheduled games begin mid-April and end mid-June.
*  Post-season All-Star/Tournament teams - All players ages 9 through 18 are eligible for consideration toward selection to an All Star team as long as they are age eligible, legally reside within the boundaries of the league, and have met the requirement of a minimum of 60% participation in their teams games.  All Star Teams CANNOT be announced until June 15th.  All Star Tournament Games begin with a District-level Tournament that generally starts about June 25th, and how long the team is involved in Tournament play is determined by continued winning!  More information will be provided through the League Administration as the season progresses.

Please click on the menu items to the left (middle section) beginning with "Handouts / Forms" down to "Volunteer" as this will provide you with much of the information needed to get started. Once teams are assigned check back here for scheduling information.
