IMPORTANT NEW BAT RULES FOR 2009 SEASON!

All baseball and softball bats used in Willamette Valley Little League practices and games must have one of the following printed on the bat:

The Bat Performance Factor (BPF) Rating, not exceeding 1.15 BPF.
OR
It must state "Approved by Little League."

Official rules state that for 2009, only bats with the BPF rating printed on the bat (no stickers) not exceeding 1.15 BPF will be allowed, but for this year, we are allowing a "phase out" of bats without the BPF printed, as long as the bats say Little League Approved.

Willamette Valley Little League's 2009 season -
Hello All,
Little League is run entirely by gracious volunteers who donate their time and energy to help put each season together for all of our children.   Any assistance is appreciated - even if its only an hour of your time.  Remember:  If you will be spending any time in direct contact with the players in any way, a Volunteer Form must be completed, a government-issue photo i.d. viewed (preferring a photocopy copy with the Volunteer Form), and we are requried to run a background/sex offender registry check prior to your being with the kids.
This site and the NEW Business Telephone Line will be updated with current information.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via e-mail
or by phone at (541) 747-9774
Thank you,
 President WVLL

The Behind-The-Scenes activity is EXCITING to be a part of, and your involvement could make all the difference in the world!

Willamette Valley Little League offers baseball and softball to boys and girls, ages 5-18.

partnering your community with the largest Child Development Program in the world - and including:
Co-ed Tee-Ball
Coed Baseball - Coach Pitch Minors, Player Pitch Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors and Big League
Girls' Softball - Coach Pitch Minors, Player Pitch Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors and Big League
and Little League's "adaptive baseball" program - the Challenger Division for children with "disabilities"

Little League® does not limit participation in its activities on the basis of disability, race, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual preference or religious preference.
... and will not turn any child away for lack of or limited funds
.

To register for participation, Little League requires the child be of the appropriate age and legally reside within the boundaries of the league they are applying to.  At registration, three proof of residence documents and the child's government-issued birth certificate (original or government-issued copy) must be "viewed."   (Likewise, leagues can only register players who legally reside within 'their boundaries.')

We are proud to be part of District 9, serving the communities of Springfield, Dexter, Fall Creek, Lowell, Marcola, Mohawk, Pleasant Hill, Oakridge and West Fir. Click Boundary Map for a PDF map of our area.(Map is being revised to remove Creswell School District and extend the boundaries to incluide Oakridge and West Fir.  Creswell has been "re-united" with South Valley Little League!)

The objective of Willamette Valley Little League is to support children of our community by instilling the ideals of integrity, teamwork, sportsmanship, courage, and respect so that they may become decent, productive members of the community. Confidential Scholarships are available upon request.

 *  Chartered Oregon District 9 Little Leagues:

Here is basic information (including contact websites, phone numbers, and e-mails) for the five current chartered leagues in our District.  Leagues can only register players legally residing within the boundaries served by their specific league.  If you are uncertain as to which league you reside in, the school boundaries listed below should be helpful, and you are also encouraged to e-mail the league for additional information.

Click on the league name to visit their individual website or click on the League President's name to send an e-mail. Their contact phone # is included for additional assistance.
