WVA Barracudas: Welcome

Try WVA Barracudas Swim Programs for FREE

During the Week of May 14^th-18^th, try swimming with us FREE!  If you know how to swim Freestyle, WVA will take care of the rest!!

WVA Barracudas Summer Team

Our summer league swim team, which begins 5/14/12, offers a great introduction to the sport of competitive swimming, ideal cross-training for other sports and an excellent way to prepare for the HS swim season!   The Barracudas are part of the North Central WV Summer Swim League.  Practices for all groups begin at 5:30 p.m. and are offered at the WVU Natatorium on M, W, and F.  Dual meet competitions, which begin June 12, are held on T and Th evenings.

Cost: $155.00 for 11 weeks of training, 10 dual meets, 2 Invitational competitions, a WVA cap and the USA Swimming seasonal registration fee.

WVA Swim Gym Program

Swim Gym offers children in our community an introduction to swimming.  Proficiency in swimming is a tremendous life skill.   Our goal is to help provide this gift through technical instruction and fitness training.  Swimmers must be able to swim 16 yards, have no fear of deep water,  and have had previous swim lesson experience.

Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Class times will be 5:30-6:15 p.m. and 6:15-7:00 p.m. The program will be offered for 10 weeks and you may sign-up on for single or multiple weeks. The cost per week (three, 45 minute classes) is $30.

Weeks available: 5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18,                                   6/25, 7/2, 7/9, and 7/16.
