Did you know that Senator skipper Nick Frese is the only player to homer is his last regular season AB for the Over 30 Senators? Frese homered over the short centerfield porch at Cherry Hill Babe Ruth Field vs the Cherry Hill Tigers. It was the game-winning RBI in the 8th inning. It was his first wooden-bat homer, and he hasn't hit one since.
Two Triples, One from Each Side
Did you know that Dan Barbara once tripled twice in the the same game vs the Medford Yankees at Wilson Field -- once batting right-handed and once batting left-handed? And did you know that one of them went to the RIGHT of the port-a-potty in right-center and the other went to the LEFT of that port-a-potty?
First Over 40 Homer
Did you know that the first Senators Over 40 homer was belted by Dave Anselmo? Dave hit the blast down the left-field line at Washington Township High School in the first inning off Danny Hill of the South Jersey Giants? And did you know that the Senators were crushed in that game by a 15-3 score? It was the only homer hit by the Senators during that 2002 inaugural season. The ball rests in Nick Frese's home office.

Did you know that the 1996 (aluminum bat) Senators traveled almost 1.5 hours up into Ocean County only to beat the Ocean Cardinals by a 43-0 score in just 7 innings? And did you know that Senator great Joe Santone somehow managed to get just ONE HIT in the contest?

Sens Fan 21 Times in Opener
Did you know that the O-28 Senators, notorious for their slow starts, set a new high in low, fanning 21 times in the '05 opener and losing 3-1 to the Voorhees Phillies and rookie lefty starter Mike Greenwood. Senator rookie John Trotter was welcomed to the league with four punchouts!
First Over 40 Salami
Did you know that the first grand slam in Over 38 Senator history came on Sunday, May 8, 2005? It was hit by Dale Amos in a 10-run fourth inning against right-hander Steve Burns and the Cinnaminson Reds. The ball sailed majestically over the 340 sign in left-center at Washington Township High School. The Senators won the contest by a 19-3 score. It was Amos' first homer as a Senator.
Three At-Bats, Three Triples!
Did you know that Senator skipper Nick Frese hit only five triples between 1993 and 2004? And did you know that in early 2005 he hit triples in THREE consecutive At-Bats? The first came off Marlin lefty Don Davis at Rider College in his last AB of a 4-1 win on April 24. The next two were off Steve Burns of the Cinnaminson Reds on May 8 (after a May 1 rainout). All three blasts went to right-center, and all were run-producing hits.
Catch, Pitch, Hit? Bruce Stowell Is Your Man
Did you know that on May 15, 2005, Bruce Stowell caught the first game of a doubleheader at the Bellmawr Rec Center against the Camco Mudcats and went 4-for-4? And did you know that he PITCHED a complete game in the nightcap winning 9-1 -- and also went 4-for-4 in that game? It was one of the best one-day performances in Senator history.

Did you know that Ed Horner made his Senator debut as a pitcher on April 9, 2006? And did you know that Mr. Horner pitched three innings and struck out a record NINE batters in his first work as a Senator? Not too shabby!

Triple Play In Riverton
Did you know that the Senators turned their only triple play at Riverton Memorial Park vs. the Riverton Pirates? The play started when pitcher Frank Rose leaped off the mound to snare a popped-up sacrifice bunt attempt. Rose caught the ball at his shoe-tops, fired a strike to Joe Santone at second, who tossed to Dan Barbara at first to complete the triple play.
