The WTBA is a volunteer-run organization. <br />
<br />
This season all volunteers are required by Winslow Township to have a background check completed. These backgroun checks are completed by Sargem Morpho, Inc.( visit <a href="https://www.bioapplicant.com/">https://www.bioapplicant.com/</a> to schedule an appointment and for more information). You will need to complete Universal Fingerprinting Form (#NJAPS2 Version 3.0) before scheduling your appointment. We are working with the township to streamline this process and&nbsp;a copy of the necessary form will be available on this website in the couple of weeks. Once fingerprints are completed, you will be notified when you can have your picture taken for your id issued by Winslow Township. 
</p>
<p>
Any&nbsp;person who already has a Winslow volunteer id must present it to an WTBA official prior to assuming a volunteer role. Also, if you have had a background check in the past 2 years or less you are not required to have background check completed,however you will be required to present proof prior to being issued an id card. This includes teachers, police officers, social workers and anyone other profession that may require background checks. <br />

We are also seeking commissioners, coaches, a webmaster, an equipment manager, team parents and more. <br />
<br />
Volunteering does not require a lot of time. You can give 1 hour a week or 1-hour a month. Let us know your interest by sending an email to wtbaprez@aol.com <br />

The WTBA for&nbsp;17 seasons has encouraged and supported the academic success of its players. In an effort to take that support to another level the WTBA sponsors the Brains and Basketball Academic Success Program. This program is designed to recognize girls and boys who achieve high academic success while participating in our basketball programs. 
</p>
<p>
One way we recognize high academic achievers is through our academic honors celebrations. During these events we provide food and music and the president presents certificates to and takes picture with all players who register by providing a copy of their report card. <u><strong>The deadline to register for the first marking period event is Dec 12, 2008.</strong></u> The time and location of the first event will be announced in the near future. 
</p>
<p>
We also offer a scholarship to alumni of the WTBA who have either played or volunteered at least one season. Over the past 2 years, the WTBA has presented 4 scholarships to boys and girls who achieved high academic standing and matriculated to post-secondary schools including 2 and 4 year technical schools, colleges and universities. Scholarships are presented at the WTBA annual banquet. Please check the website in the near future for the application and deadline.
