Whitchurch-Stouffville Softball Association: Respect In Sport
Learn it. Live it. Pass it on.
Respect in Sport is a program that receives considerable attention in community sport across Canada. The WSSA is committed to the prevention of abuse, bullying, and harassment on and off the field; therefore, the Board of Directors has unanimously voted to introduce the Parent Program for the 2017 season.
At least one parent or guardian of each player registered with the WSSA will be required to complete the Respect in Sport - Parent Program as a condition of participation. The one-hour online course is a proactive, educational program that empowers parents with the tools to ensure that the game is enjoyable and respectful for themselves, their children, and all other stakeholders in the game.
The Respect in Sport program is transferrable across sporting associations and Canada. If you have already taken the course for another sport you will be able to log in and enter your certificate number -- you won’t have to re-take the course. But it is encouraged that you review the material as a refresher.
Since the WSSA is affiliated with the Provincial Woman's Softball Association (PWSA), we will access Respect In Sport through the PWSA's link.
After you log into the RIS tool, click (+) to expand the list, and then select Stouffville or WSSA/Junior Division.
