, died on the football field in 1923: Famous Football Quotes

The honor of my race, f amily and self is at stake. Everyis expecting me to do big things. I will. My whole body and soul are to be thrown recklessly about the field. Every time the b all is snapped, I will be trying to do more than my part... Fight low, with your eyes open and toward the play. Watch out for crossbucks and reverse end runs. Be on your toes every minute if you expect to make good. Jack

Crew Claims Championship!

Henry 'SILK' Booth-Epler Cup IX MVP
Holy Cross High School- On a cloudy Sunday morning, the Texas Sixman Football Association's Epler Cup IX, signifying the champion was on the line. With great champions of the 'cup' such as the Wolfpack,Rhinos,Ryders and Bandits, a new name will now be included in that list.
In a second half surge, the Crew secured the 'cup' and became the TSFA champions of the 2007 season with a 44 to 31 victory over the four time champion Bandits.
The Crew started out quickly with Silk Booth hitting JT Taylor on a short pass that Taylor would take in for a score.
"We came out strong on offense. I think that our offense hit its groove last week against the Ryders. Not a bad time to start." head coach Hector Muniz said.
"No disrespect to the Bandits. They our a great team. All you have to look at is their four championships, but i thought we won the title last weekend against the Ryders. That game took alot out of this team and it showed in the first half. This team has grown up this year and they knew coming out of the half they needed to respond." Muniz said.
With the offense scoring at will coming out of the half lead by Epler Cup MVP Booth, Taylor and Leonard 'L' Walker and the defense scoring on a fumble recovery by linebacker Joey Gonzales, the Crew busted the game open and never looked back.
"This is a great moment for alot of guys on this team. We have players and coaches who have waited 7 or 8 years to get the 'cup'. Myself included." Muniz said.
After the game seemed more like a high school city championship had been won as fans were taking pictures and hugging players.
"It was never like this when we won." Booth said referring to the two championships he won with the Bandits.
"I am proud of everyone of these guys and will always have their back. I have been hard on them. Some of them since day one. Now they are champions. They proved to themselves that hard work for the team will always get you to the top." Muniz said.
"We are the best. The champs..........when does the season get started again?"

Wrecking Crew football.....first year 4 and 7,second round playoff loss to the Rage

second year 6 and 3,second round lost to the Ryders

Third year 11 and 2.........CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!

Not bad.......but now the question is can you repeat?
"No comment. Think we will enjoy this for awhile."
