Our teams have the benefit of the use of an indoor training facility, Hit Quarters (“HQ”) in Shrewsbury, MA. Hit Quarters ( http://thehitquarters.com/ ) is a 28,000 square foot facility with wall-to-wall synthetic turf giving the look and feel of playing on natural grass. Hit Quarter’s highly advanced Synthetic Field feels just like a natural grass playing field. Their field is 65 yards by 38 yards with an Official Major League Baseball Regulation Infield. Hit Quarters offers six of the largest and most efficient batting cages. Each cage measures 70’ L x 15’ W x 22’H, allowing every hitter to see the true trajectory of each ball hit. In addition, Hit Quarters has two turf pitching mounds and a regulation baseball infield with 90’ base paths. The offerings at Hit Quarters give our teams the competitive edge they need over other AAU teams during our winter clinics, practices, and strength and conditioning programs. As part of the teams overall strength and conditioning program, weekly sessions under the direction of JR Thomas of the New England Sports Solutions will be offered to all players.

The Worcester Heat 14 year old teams (and parents) served dinner to 120 homeless and under privileged youths ages 4 to 16 that call the Worcester Boys & Girls Club their escape or safe haven and some even their home. The program itself is called the Kids Café. Worcester Heat Coaches said when we started on this mission; we were looking for “a few good men.” What we got was two teams of compassionate kids who really had A REWARDING EXPERIENCE! | |
