Panthers Bite Gators!

The WHS Panthers captured their first district win of the year Thursday with a 5-4 victory over the St. Amant Gators. Patrick Lea earned his second win of the year on the mound, Andrew Laley was credited with the save. Brennan Yarborough led the hitting, going 2-3 with an RBI. Jamie Halk went 1-1 with 3 SB's, and Ronnie Turpin was 1-1 with the game winning RBI. St. Amant falls to 4-3 in district play, while Woodlawn moves to 1-6, with 5 district games remaining. The Panthers return to action next Tuesday afternoon with a visit to Denham Springs to face the 2-4 Yellowjackets.

Patrick Lea No-Hits Rebels

The WHS Panthers used a strong pitching performance from Patrick Lea to rout the Lee High Rebels 15-0 Thursday afternoon. Lea faced ten batters in three innings, allowing only one base runner who reached on an error.
