A Message from Bryan Small - President, Woodbridge Little League
The world seemed to stand still for the entire Woodbridge Little League community from the sad news that Darlene Matthews had passed away. She will live on in the hearts and minds of the players she coached and the people she embraced as both as a fellow coach and as a special friend. Our thoughts and prayers will always remain constant with Darlene and the entire Matthews family.
On behalf of myself and the entire Woodbridge Little League Organization, I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to all of the Woodbridge Little League families who have shown their support, their love and their sympathies for the Matthews family during this very difficult time.

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Matthews. Darlene had touched the lives of everyone she met. Her never ending effervescent personality, her laughter and love for coaching will be a void that will never be filled.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord
