The Sackville-Fall River Wolves: News Archive: But Can They Play Lacrosse?
But Can They Play Lacrosse?
After another Halifax team fought their way through a match full of player ejections right before our game, the Midget #1 Wolves tried to play lacrosse against Halifax NW #1.
As expected, Halifax came to fight rather than play, and though our boys aren't proud of their actions during the "game", there's only so much you can expect them to take before they fight back.
After their star thug left the floor with a messy face, Halifax actually tried to play the game during the second period, but after 5 straight shots passed their goalie, they returned to intimidation in the third. Regardless of their attempt to knock the Wolves off their game, Halifax couldn't get the win and had to settle for a tie.
Clearly, if Halifax were to play lacrosse instead of pick fights, we would have kicked their butts (as evident during the second period)...so it's doubtful they'll ever take the chance on their playing skill alone.
Just for the record...they may have tied the game, but they lost the fight.
To our boys, you have something Halifax will never have...a reputation as a good lacrosse team.
All remaining games are against real lacrosse clubs, so it should be a great finish to another successful season for the Sackville-Fall River Wolves.
Final Score:
Halifax NW #1 - 8
Wolves #1 - 8
