NS Midget Provincial Lacrosse Team Tryouts
Lacrosse Nova Scotia is inviting all Midget aged players to take part in the tryouts for the NS Midget Provincial lacrosse team.
Team Nova Scotia will be selected from players across the province. Any Midget aged player, (born 1993-1994) registered with the LNS is eligible to try-out for the team. The tryout will focus on personal training, skills and team play concepts. Specifically, individual skills and fitness will be the initial focus, quickly evolving into inter-squad games and scrimmages.

For boys and girls ages 6 to 12. Come out with a friend and try lacrosse for free. Lacrosse Nova Scotia, the Metro Minor Lacrosse League, and all local lacrosse associations are excited to announce an upcoming Try Lacrosse session in your area! This series of events is designed to introduce Canada's National Summer sport to potential new players and their parents.
Current players, for every guest you bring, you will receive one entry form for a chance to win a Warrior Lacrosse stick!

The Sackville Fall River Wolves are looking for our "next generation players" Although we have had great success in our older divisions, our numbers are decreasing in the younger divisions. We are in need of Tyke, Novice & pee Wee players.

SACKVILLE-FALL RIVER WOLVES LACROSSE ASSOCIATION
2007 REGISTRATION NEWSLETTER
Welcome to another exciting season of lacrosse with the Sackville-Fall River Wolves Lacrosse Association. We hope all participants enjoy learning and playing the fastest game on two feet and that parents enjoy watching Canadas National Summer Sport.
2007 Registration Fees and Divisions;
Division Fee Year of Birth New program structure;
Tyke $145 2000, 2001
Novice $170 1997- 1999
Peewee $170 1995, 1996
Bantam $170 1993, 1994
Midget $195 1991, 1992
Junior $225 1987. 1990
New program structure:in 2007, the peewee, bantam and midget divisions will offer a Club and Select levels of competition. Unlike last season, the participants will only be allowed to play in one competitive level. Selectteams will only be organized providing there is at least two Club teams in that division. Interested participants who want to play Select may be required to attend try-outs depending on numbers. There will be the same number of games in each divisional play (10-12 games plus play-off). If there is more than one Club team in the division every effort will be made to balance them. Tyke, novice and junior B will be Club level teams. Please note that we will be introducing the hard rubber ball to the Tyke level this season.
Scheduling: The season will start the week ending April 30th. No games will be played during the week of the 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships (May 14th-20th) and none played on the July 1st long weekend. A double round robin tournament play-off in Club levels will commence July 4th-8th for novice/bantam divisions and July 11th-15th for peewee/midget divisions.. The Select leagues will start their play-offs July 18th-22nd for all divisions. The Tykefest tournament will be held June 25th-29th.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Mail-in Registration: will be sent to all 2006 registered participants between Jan19th-26th. Registration forms must be returned by mail no later than March 3rd or dropped off at any of our open registration dates. This is extremely important so that we may inform the league on the number of teams/divisions our association will compete. Please return registration form to ;

Post dated cheques will not be accepted.
Refunds of registration fees will not be considered except for valid medical reasons. Requests for
refunds must be submitted in writing, supported by a medical certificate to the Board of Directors. The Wolves Lacrosse Association retains the right to accept or reject any such requests in its sole and absolute discretion. Any refunds granted will be pro-rated from the time of notification and subject to a $30.00 admin fee. The Wolves Lacrosse Association will not be responsible for cash sent in the mail. There will be a $25.00 NSF charge for each returned cheque.

Late registration will only be accepted providing that the teams have not reached their maximum rosters. So do not delay and risk disappointment. A waiting list will be created.
Family Deal: First two players from the same family must pay full registration fees. Registration fees for additional family members are discounted 50%.
Goaltenders: Save big on registration and equipment costs. All goaltenders (full time) will receive a $25.00 discount on fee. The Association will provide goalies with the following equipment; stick, leg guards, arm/chest protector and throat guard. Paticipants must provide their own CSA Goalie mask/helmet, gloves and hockey pants. Associations equipment must be returned at end of season.
Lacrosse Nova Scotia requires all participants/parents to sign a liability waiver and code of conduct form prior to on floor sessions.
Volunteers: The continued success of the Wolves Lacrosse Association depends on its volunteers. We are especially interested in those who have a progressive and constructive means to improve our program and a passion to see the sport grow.
Coaching clinics; The Wolves Lacrosse Association will provide all coaches certified training in accordance with LNS guidelines. Times and dates to be announced. PRE-SEASON GYM PRACTICES ; The Wolves will hold a drop-in open practice sessions on Sunday afternoons at Cavalier School . Due to the cost of the gym we ask that participants pay a nominal fee per session. Here is the schedule and times ;
12:00noon - 1:00pm Tyke/Novice
1:00pm - 2:00pm Peewee/Bantam
2:00pm - 3:00pm Midget/Jr.
Fees are; Jan 21,28 ($2.00), Feb. 4,11,18,25($5.00), Mar.4, 18,25($5.00) per session.

Professional lacrosse returns to Halifax, Nova Scotia, as the Toronto Rock take on the Philadelphia Wings in an exhibition game.
Saturday Nov. 25 at 7 p.m., at the Halifax Metro Centre.

Registration for the Sackville-Fall River Wolves Lacrosse Association is about to begin. Previously registered players will soon receive their 2008 Registration Form in the mail. Please complete and return your form as quickly as possible. Three open registrations will be held during the month of February & March, so players new to the game have an opportunity to get involved in Canada's fastest growing sport. |
