Current training ground for the Lancashire Wolverines senior team.

Ashfield Park is just off the A49 (Wigan Road) in Standish, Wigan. Take the turning into Ashfield Park Drive (you'll be surrounded by big trees). After a few yards, you'll see a sign for Ashfield House in front of you, which you should aim for. Just before you enter the house's grounds, you'll see a sign marked "To the playing fields" pointing you to the right. Follow this down the dirt track, and after a very short distance you'll see a car park on the left, and the fields beyond.

NOTE: We have recently been playing on the fields behind the trees, which cannot be seen from the car park. Next to the car park is a row of trees. Go through the trees, down a little hill and keep going forward. The training field is on the other side of the trees, only a minute's walk from the car park.

The penultimate roundabout is the one with Morrissons on your left hand side. At the next and final roundabout, take your second exit, which is more or less a left hand turn. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Pilling Lane. Carry on up Pilling Lane all the way to the top until you come to a roundabout. Take the 1st exit, which is a turning to the left onto Carr Lane. After 100 yards, turn right onto the Bowers Cul-De-Sac. Follow the road round to the right, and you’ve reached Holy Cross school.

From the M6, come off at Junction 27. Head towards Standish via the A5209. After 2 miles, turn a left onto the A49 at a set of traffic lights with the spar on your right and the somerfield on your left. After 2 or 3 miles on that road, going past the Cinnamon Indian Restaurant on your right along the way, take a right at the mini-roundabout to head into Coppull along Spendmore Lane (B5251). Stick to that road, going right through and into Coppull. After 2 or 3 miles again, you should start to see the beginnings of Chorley. After going down a big dip through the trees and then back up again, the road will kink to the right. The road will come to a set of traffic lights. At the lights turn right onto Weldbank Lane. Travel for a mile on the road. The road will bend round sharply to the left to become Carr Lane. Go straight ahead over the next roundabout. After 100 yards, turn right onto the Bowers Cul-De-Sac. Follow the road round to the right, and you’ve reached Holy Cross school.
