The 2009 Season is FINALLY Here!
Were Going into Week 6 !
The Eagles Have Started out Great!
4 of our 5 Competitve teams are still high contendors for good playoff seeds.
Our Midget Team after being 2nd in the nation last season at the Jr. Midget level, started out great again in their first 4 games scoring well over 100 points and only letting up 12 points. Unfortunatly in week 5 they endured their first regular season defeat in 2 seasons to their main contendor the Brookfield Bobcats. They came into the game a little too confident but still started out great scoring 12 points in the first few minutes of the first quarter. It looked as if it was going to be another one of those games, but the Bobcats turned things around and the Eagles started to shut down on offense not scoring another point for the rest of the game. In the final minutes Brookfield drove down and scored making it 14-12.
Our Jr. Midget team after their State Championship run last season are on track for another, still undefeated after game 5. Their offense is unstoppable and their deffense is hard to be drivin on make the team yet to have a game within 18 points.
Our PeeWee Team is on a much better track then last year, their record is 3-2. Their 3 wins have been by a large margin all by 20-27 points. Thier losses on the other hand were all really close games and all could have went either way losing by only 8 and 12. This week they will get another shot at the Brookfield Bobcats who they lost too two weeks ago.
Our Jr. PeeWee Red team Has also had a great start with a record of 3-2. They have lots of speed and a very skilled backfield. They have the potential to break one at any time. They lost 2 hard fought games to both The New Fairfield Falcon Teams.

Finishing the # 2 Team
In the Nation.
The Eagles Played the Very Strong, Powerful and Well Coached West Valley Falcons from a city of over 970,000 people for the National Championship and unfortunatly lost by a score of 31-6. The Eagles fought hard throughout the entire game but were just physically out played. The boys had a great season and have nothing to be ashamed of. They are the number 2 team in the entire country and that isn't half bad. Out of the couple thousand teams that played Division II Jr. Midget Pop Warner Football all over the United States who were all sitting home wishing they were playing football, the Eagles got to play in that final game of the 2008 season. 2nd out of a few thousand doesn't sound so bad to me.
