WEST MONROE 30  NEVILLE 27

I tell you what, if it is a better team in 4A than Neville, I don't want to see them.

This is absolutely one of the best games that I have seen in a long time.

West Monroe dominated the 1st half and ended the half on a 44 yard field goal by super

sophomore Beau Benson making the halftime score 23-7. The 2nd half was a different

story.

Neville out scored West Monroe 20-0 before the Rebels had one last attempt to win.

The Rebels drove the field and Paul Turner hit Tyler Cain from 23 yards out to make

the final 30-27.

Paul Turner was 7-12 for 88 yards and a td passing and 1 td rushing.

Turner connected with Cody Stone for 21 yards, Deon Fowler for 33

yards and Tyler Cain for the win. Paul showed alot of heart playing with the ankle injury.

Tyler Cain had 16 carries for 110 yards and a td. Teshadi Talton had 15 carries for 55

yards and a td.

Neville's Taylor Burch was 11-32 for 278 yards and 3 td's to all world player Jeremy

Runner who had 8 receptions for 251 yards.

Great job DeFense, you held when you had too!

All I can say is what a game!

Rivals Top 100 Matchup Week 2

 West Monroe #25 vs Neville #69

This week the Rebels will face cross town rival Neville! These 2 teams have not played since Robert Lane was the qb at Neville. Neville has a very talented squad and they can score as you can tell from the opener vs Ouachita. This will be a battle of 2 of the top teams in Rivals top 100 teams in the Nation. West Monroe is #1 in 5A and Neville is #3 in 4A. Probably #2 by Tuesday. 

West Monroe is currently ranked #25, while Neville is #69. Should be an exciting night for high school football. The CW Network has picked this game as the Game of the Week and will be replayed Friday night starting at 9:00 p.m. .
