Congratulations to all of the Rebel players, coaches and staff for an outstanding

season! You gave it your all and what a year we had. I am so proud that

you played with class and did everything that you could do to win.

We'll be back and we have a great future at West Monroe.

                                    West Monroe 47  Barbe 12

West Monroe totally dominated Barbe in a game where the Rebels continued

to grow as a team. D.J. Banks had 3 TD's and 127 yards on 18 carries.

LaDarius Abrams had 89 yards on 16 carries and 2 TD's.

Paul Turner had 3 carries for 70 yards and a TD.

D.J. also had 5 pass completions for 89 yards and a TD pass to

Taylor Underwood.

The DeFense held Barbe in check most of the night.

Barbe had 56 yards rushing and 234 yards passing.

On to the Dome Rebels!

                                 West Monroe 37  Ouachita 16

The Rebels came out and scored early and never looked back. The Rebels

fell behind early with a safety, but they got the ball back and drove the

field and kicked a field goal to take a 3-2 lead.

The Rebels then scored 21 unanswered points to go in at the half 24-2.

Ouachita came back in the 2nd half to close the gap to 24-16 before

the Rebels took control again on a 79 td run by D.J. Banks. Banks had 104 yards

and 2 td's on the night.

LaDarius Abrams had 134 yards and 2 td's on 21 carries.

The Rebel's DeFense blocked a punt and Jordan Allen recovered it for

a td. Jonas Tyson had 2 picks for the Rebels.

West Monroe 41  St. Thomas More 28

West Monroe came out flat and fell behind 21-0 and it did not look good for the

#1 seed in the first half. West Monroe's LaDarius Abrams then scored to make it 21-6

and looked to have a little momentum. The DeFense held and Eric Talton scores

to make it 21-13. St. Thomas More then took it all the way again making it

28-13. On the kickoff by St. Thomas More, Carl Turner took the ball around the

2 yard line and took it 98 yards for a td. West Monroe made the 2 ponit

conversion and went at the half only down 28-21.

The 2nd half was a different story. West Monroe's DeFense held St. Thomas More

scoreless and the Rebels had new life. Barkevious Mingo blocked a punt and

then recovered it and ran it in for a td tieing the score 28-28.

West Monroe held again and D.J. Banks scored making it 35-28.

Again the DeFense held and West Monroe took the ball and score on a run by

LaDarius Abrams making the final 41-28. LaDarius had 227 yards on 17 carries.

All I can say is wow! What a game! If you missed this game, you missed a

heck of a ballgame.

I want to thank David Pearson, the softball coach and Director of Technolgy

at St. Thomas More for the great experience that we had at St Thomas More.

David made sure that our crew had plenty to eat and that we had everything that we

needed for the radio broadcast and internet feeds. You are a great person and

an asset to St. Thomas More. This is probably the best experience that I have ever

had at an opposing team's place in my 30 years of doing high school football and I

have been just about everywhere!

                              West Monroe 56  Scotlandville 34

West Monroe scored anytime they wanted and led at the half 42-0.
The  subs came in and could not hold onto the ball and Scotlandville
was able to score several td's by the offensive misques.
The Rebels starting DeFense did not give up any points, but you have to
let the other players play in a game like this.
LaDarius Abrams had 124 yards on 20 carries and 2 td's.
D.J. Banks had 69 yards on 9 carries and a td and passed for
135 yards and a td.
Total yards rushing 266, passing 135 and 407 yards of offense.
Tyler Cain had a 70 yard punt return for a td and 3 receptions for
71 yards and a td.
