Welcome to the 2009 Williston Little League Season!
2009 Williston Little League Tee Ball/Baseball/Softball/Babe Ruth 
Little League Instructional Tee Ball and Baseball for “baseball” Ages 5-12, Little League tee ball Softball & Softball for Ages 7-12
Babe Ruth Baseball and senior softball for Ages 13-15 (season runs June through Mid-July)
 
 LITTLE LEAGUE PLAYERS AGED 9-12 ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL PRACTICES/GAMES
NOTE: Little League Tee Ball & “Baseball age”: (5-12 year-olds), is age as of April 30, 2009 (born May 1996 thru April 2004)     
Girls Tee Ball Softball & “Softball age”: (7-12 year-olds) Born between January 1996 & December 2001
      (NOT  BASED ON SCHOOL AGE OR GRADE)

2009 Fee structure: REGISTER BY MARCH 1st to avoid late fee. Registration fee increases $10/player after March 1st
 §          LL Baseball/Softball: $45 for (1) player  (add $10 for each additional sibling)
§          Babe Ruth Baseball: $80 per player (no sibling discount)
TEE BALL, LITTLE LEAGUE and SOFTBALL REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED UP THROUGH SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH

WCS Library                            MANDATORY BACKGROUND CHECKS & VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
                                                                FOR ALL COACHES, UMPIRES, BOARD MEMBERS, AND VOLUNTEERS
                                                                Everyone must have a copy of a government issued photo ID(driver license)

Tuesday, March 10      6:30-7:00pm    OPTIONAL 6 year-old assessments

Sports and Fitness Edge-                  In case there is room in 7 year-old Single A division.  Must have played 1 year of tee-ball.     Williston                                    (5/6 year-olds will automatically be placed on teams)

                                       7:00-8:00pm    7 to 12 year-old Baseball Assessments                                             

 All 7-10 year-olds and 11/12 year-old baseball players, who DID NOT play in Williston Little League last year, must attend. Baseball players will be assessed on a series of 4 to 5 skill stations. The results enable us to draft equitable and competitive Minor and Major Division teams.   BRING GLOVE & SNEAKERS; PLEASE BRING COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE for new registrants                       

 Thurs, March 19        7:00pm        Major League Division Baseball (age 11/12) Draft Night for Major Managers only                      WCS Library  

Tues, March 24       7:00-9:00pm                Manager, Coach, and Umpire Rules Clinic

Williston Police Station                2009 rules and umpire clinic.  All managers and coaches are encouraged to attend.

 

Wed, March 25        7:00pm                    MANDATORY COACHING MEETING                               

WCS small dining room        Rosters and Hit-a-Thon  sponsor forms will be handed out to all coaches, all divisions 

 

 

 

Sun, March 29        7:00 pm               Coaching Clinic               

Sports & Fitness Edge-Williston

                                             This clinic is designed for Tee Ball through Major League Coaches Coaching

                                             instruction on the fundamentals of throwing, catching, fielding,

                                             and batting for all skill levels.  

 

 

 

Thur, April 9           7:00pm                 Safety Meeting for coaches

Williston Large Cafeteria

                                                               Each Team MUST have at least one representative.

 

 

Sat, April 11           9:00am                    Field Days   Major, AAA, AA, Tball fields              

Families are asked to help prepare the fields for the season. The Town Parks and Recreation Dept. is expected to do all of the heavy field maintenance. Field prep work for LLvolunteers should be limited to light raking and field layout. Sites will be evaluated once fields are exposed, and Coaches will advise what is required at each location. RAIN DATE: April 18 (vacation: April 20-24)

Sat, May 9             11:00am-2:00pm      4th Annual Hit-a-Thon Fundraiser/BBQ/ Picture Days and Pitch

Williston Community Park

Join in opening day festivities and enjoy a League sponsored BBQ  afterwards, as we celebrate Little League Baseball in Williston. Prizes will be handed out after each division completes their pictures                                     RAIN DATE: May 16th

Sat, July 5                                              Regular Season Ends
