Now we begin the ’12-13 season culminating with the State Championship series.  In life we are misled by many fibs, fables, and fallacies regarding what makes things happen.  There is no mystery about how Champions become Champions.  What happens is that a small group of serious wrestlers meet up with a small group of serious coaches on a regular basis, they work hard on the quality matters with qualified coaches, plan & participate in some of the dozens of practice competitions available, expand their horizons with the international styles, and poof! things begin to happen.

Calendars are available in the room, or email me and I’ll forward.  Practices Tuesday’s and Thurday’s 6pm.  April, May, June are months for Ironmen (folkstyle, freestyle, and greco).  Freestyle/Greco State Championships occur in mid-May, followed by National Level opportunities.  June, July, and August fades into folkstyle again.  August, September, October, and November is folkstyle warmup time.  Throughout this span a multitude of individual and team tournaments at the state and national level are available to those who plan ahead.  To the ones who don’t plan ahead, speak up for help, or put in the time, that’s their chosen fate.  The ’12-13 Champions in March are baked from April to November.  That’s a fact of life.
