Mission Statement

WKEV is a non-profit organization committed to giving athletes the opportunity to enhance their skills in a competitive fun-filled atmosphere. WKEV and its coaches strive to instill confidence in our players and to teach fundamental and advanced skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. WKEV's long-term goal is to develop volleyball players with strong personal character and values who respect themselves, their coaches, fellow athletes, and the communities in which we operate.

Western Kentucky Elite Volleyball is in its 3rd season. We have learned something new each season, and this year we are open to all girls in Indiana and Kentucky from ages 10 to 17. WKEV operates in the Pioneer Region which is affiliated with USA Volleyball.

The purpose of WKEV is to offer youths the opportunity to compete in the Junior Olympic Volleyball programs. This allows athletes to improve their skill level, receive high quality instruction, learn team strategy, as well as make friends and have fun. It is a progessive skills program that helps and aids the physical and mental development of young volleyball players by age groups.

Most NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA coaches recruit excessively  from the Junior Program ranks. A coach or scout can see more solid college prospects in one day at a Junior Tournament that he or she can in an entire high school season. The Junior Program is not only for athletes seeking college scholarships, but also for the players looking to improve in order to make their high school or top-level grade school teams. It is also a great way for athletes to play the game they love.

*Respect for yourself and others.

*Being committed is a must.

*Cooperation and teamwork is essential.
