Meeting called to order: Troy Snyder Treasurer’s Report Approved President: Troy Snyder*Coaches need to complete fall rosters VP 2: Greg Blew*Field usage for UK Elite camps discussed. Field 5 will be used for the day camps and fields 1-4 will be used for the team night camps.
*Discussed field usage among the different leagues as not to overlap. Greg will confirm field usage for all leagues by the end of this week.
*Talked about investing in permanent field markers to make the lining of the fields easier. He will obtain samples so a decision can be made.
*Talked about respecting the goal areas. Move the goals to the side during the shooting/goalie work outs. This will help preserve the goal areas. New Business: *We need to get the stamped rosters from EPYSA so the teams playing in the August tournaments have what is needed to participate. *Coaches will not have their passes until after August 21st at the RBJSL coaches meeting. *Dates are confirmed for the RBJSL coaches meetings. (August 21st and 25th) One representative must be present from each team at ONE of these meetings. *WJSC coaches meeting will be August 18th for the U9’s and above. *In House Tournament is August 22nd and 23rd. Rain date the 24th. *Discussed U11 and U12 playing 8v8. Some leagues play 8v8 until 13.

President’s Report – Troy Snyder*Statement: "Due to coaching philosophy differences between Coach Andrea Hetrick and the WJSC we (WJSC) have assigned a new coach to Team Chaos." New Business: *Mike Feehan needs a number count for each age group ASAP from Sandrine so he can make equipment decisions. *Evaluations: Suggestions given. (Evaluate goal keepers, adequate field space) *UK ELITE camp announced *Mark Bachman, coach of the over 40 team presented info for his team.

There will be both individual day camps as well as team night camps. They also offer overnight camps at various locations.*Team links will be created for those teams interested in having a team camp. Parents can register online and coaches can see online who has and has no signed up for their team. Treasurer: Guy Templin*Financial report distributed. Net worth $352,705.42*VP #1: Terry Brossman*Score Reporting: All coaches must report scores EVERY week! This will be used for coach selection criteria in the future.*VP #2: Greg Blew*Field 2 will be shut down at the end of the week temporarily for re-seeding.*Next week 2 other fields will be started as well.*The 2nd weekend in July (3rd as a rain date) will be field set up for, as of now, all 10 fields for the fall season.*Please let Greg know preferred practice times at roster selection.*Greg will address reports from Randy Spitler on holes at field 9.*Mike Feehan will send out an email for equipment dates. Tentatively the 1st Saturday in June.RBJSL REPORT*RBJSL: Oley Valley Tournament is – boys Aug.16-17 and girls August 23-24. Info at ovyl.org *There were 3 rain dates for the U9 evaluations. All results will be in at the end of May.*For info on the RBJSL 9 V 9 check the website.*There are T1, 2, and 3 teams in almost all age groups U9-U14, for girls U15-U19 as well.*Registration is closed June 9th*There are reports of teams not showing up to games. We need to make sure each team has enough players.*Coaches need to report more problems with refs to RBJSL*24 cards were distributed – 2 red for violent conduct. U10 biggest complaint of poor behavior. REGISTRAR REPORT- Sandrine Quenee*1st night of evaluations there was double the expected attendance. Despite this the evaluations were accurate. Jeff Case, as well as many other coaches, said despite the difficulty of the 1st night, he was amazed at the accuracy of the scoring.*There are 946 kids registered, which is 40 above the whole last year*There are 42-43 teams in U9 and above, which is about 4 teams more than last year*The red folders will be ready in August. *Evaluation results: Sandrine was out for surgery, so results are running late, please be patient.*Please wait to notify teams until the end of the school year.Old Business: None:*New Business:*Scholarship Winners: The WJSC player of the year awards went to Margot Templin, Daniel Honig, and Rob Hassler. These awards will be distributed at the Wilson Sports Banquet Wednesday, May 21. Congratulations to all of the winners.*We are looking to bring UK Elite in the fall to assist coaches. The board will discuss this over the next few months and decide age levels, licensing opportunities, etc.*Board will also look into other licensing programs as well.

Net worth $334,381.40 Registrar’s Report – Sandrine Quenée – Excused as present on field at the evaluations VP 1 Game Commissioner - Terry Brossman – Excused as present on field at the evaluations VP 2 Field Commissioner - Greg Blew · If you move the goals, please move them back.· Slit seeding for fields 1 and 3 will be done in the next few weeks; sprinklers are on.· Evaluation Field Issue: Field 2 is for evaluations. If you practice on field 2, Greg will either try to find you another field or cancel your practice on a case by case basis.· Anyone planning on using a field post season for practice must contact Greg for approval as fields will soon be in the process of being lined and make-up games played. Age Group VP’s - None present Old Business - None New Business· Raffle Drawing: Done tonight at the meeting. The winners are: 1) Foosball Table- Hung Cheng, 2) Sneaker Villa Package- Garret Zary, 3) Soccer Net - Jennifer Madieva.· WJSC Night at the High School Girl’s Game (Wilson vs. Twin Valley) will be April 23rd. All children wearing their jersey will be admitted free along with a paid adult. · Score Reporting- It is unacceptable the amount of times scores have not been reported by Sunday at 10pm. TAKE NOTE: Coaches who wish to coach in the fall and have 2 or more people vying for that coach position- Along with looking at other criteria such as experience, also weighing in heavily will be if scores were reported on time in the past, as records are kept each week on those who do not. IN THE FALL THIS WILL ALSO AFFECT TOURNAMENT PLAY. IF YOU DO NOT REPORT YOUR SCORE ON TIME, IT WILL BE REPORTED AS A LOSS OF “0”, NO EXEPTIONS. · Coach selection will happen soon.· Coaches should make sure they have a ref. If there is no ref at the field call Mark Yocum· Board will find out from Sandrine when coach evaluation forms are going out· As Eugene Schwartz feels the board is not acting on his previous complaint about the U10 Girls, the board informed that no other complaint has been received. Mr. Schwartz is concerned that guardians do not know how to voice their complaint and/or fear repercussions. In answer to this concern, the board informed the floor that names and contact information are required for the board to valid the complaint, but this info remains confidential and limited to the board’s sole use. The various ways of contacting the board members were enumerated (contact the board members via e-mail – all are posted on the wjsc.org website, mail to the club’s P.O. Box: 2597 in West Lawn PA 19609, approach one of the board members at the evaluations, attend one of our monthly WJSC meetings).

Attending: Guy Templin, Troy Snyder, Terry Brossman, Kim Brossman, Greg Blew, Sandrine Quenée, Joel Pollet, Tony Agentowicz, Barry Whitmoyer, Joe Carrigan, Mike Bowers, Mike Feehan, Kevin Gallen, Eugene Schwartz, Meeting Called To Order - Troy Snyder February Meeting Minutes - approved Treasurer’s Report – Guy Templin· Report distributed.· Township hasn’t asked for the money for Shiloh Hills yet so it will stay in the bank to keep earning interest until they do.· Net worth is $323,341.21.· Discussed opening the Giant Card Program to all travel teams, as the teams currently doing it have earned as much as $2500 to date. Registrar’s Report – Sandrine Quenée· Spring registration is closed with 582 players registered at closing.· First night of Fall registration had 405 players registered; Second walk-in registration night is tomorrow, March 18th.· Not requiring birth certificate each year has proved helpful.· An email will be sent next week thanking and providing information to coaches about the evaluation dates and the U9 uniforms. VP 1 Game Commissioner - Terry Brossman· SCORE REPORTING: Coaches need to email no matter what; game or no game.· GAME RESCHEDULING: This is not an option unless there is a church or school function or it is a Cup Game.· GAME CANCELLATION: Greg and T.J. have a system where one of them checks the field and the other will make calls by 8am Saturday and 10am Sunday.· There is no parent packet in the spring like there is in the fall.· Make sure game cards are filled out and make sure you get them back from the ref each week.· Field 11 is incorrectly listed as a U9 field when in fact it is a U8 field; All games on those fields were rescheduled to field 2 --MAKE SURE YOU INFORM THE AWAY COACHES OF THIS!· Mark Yocum’s grade A class will have new refs from the class refereeing for the U11 games.· Cup schedule- There are 3 teams: Coach Feehan, Coach Hardy and Coach Hetrick playing on the 5th, 12th, and 19th of April respectively.· Cup games are on field 2.· Starting at U13, games switch to 3 man ref system. VP 2 Field Commissioner - Greg Blew · Thanks to Don, Mike and coaches for helping at the field set up.· There are no nets at the Spring Ridge fields, they are ours, therefore we will need to put the nets on, not the township.· Greg will get “Keep Off” signs for fields 1 and 3; COACHES MUST KEEP KIDS OFF UNTIL THE FIELDS ARE READY FOR PLAY IN JULY OR AUGUST.· Troy proposed putting up snow fencing; Tony Agentowicz proposed stakes and yellow tape.· There are corners on field 3 but not field 1. Age Group VP’s - No Report Old Business· Two MANDATORY EVALUATIONS: Under “real” circumstances” other arrangements will be made. (ex. Planned family vacation, church or school function, etc.). Since the by-laws have yet to be re-written for this, we cannot enforce this issue, but will try to potentially make arrangements for the child to attend another older evaluation. The child MUST attend at least 1 of the evaluations to be considered.· Last month a MOTION WAS MADE TO STRIKE ITEM FROM BY-LAWS: IV. Team Selection. / D. Under-9 Teams and Older. (viii) Players that have elected to play in an older age group shall stay within such older age group even if not chosen for a Select team.Floor voted: 14 voted for striking this item, 1 against striking this item New Business· EVALUATION PROCESS: Regarding the option to use the over 40- Troy received 1 interested call. Matt Wolf volunteered some of his people. Steve from UK Elite is the front runner. This will be an investment for the club. The club has made a budget of approximately $5,000. There will be an open meeting to discuss this on Monday, 3/24 at Keller William. All are welcome. The board feels strongly about using UK Elite. Troy will invite UK Elite to give a 10 minute presentation· July 28th-August 1st UK Elite would like to offer a day camp as well as a night camp for teams. Approximate cost will be $145 each player. · DEFINING A PREMIER TEAM: SELECT is still within RBJSL and a little higher than recreation soccer: Select may evolve to Premier, subject to availability. PREMIER travels outside of RBJSL and involves a greater commitment for the coaches, children and parents.

Registration for U8 is open until March 1st. · The red folders for the spring head coaches will be distributed within 10 days of this meeting.· The February Wilson Pride included the text promoting the walk-in registration evenings.· The new Fall 2008 registration flyer has been approved by Dr. Ruth and will be distributed next Friday to all WSD elementary schools.· Fall 2008 walk-in registration is March 12th and March 18th from 6-8pm at the Wilson High School Cafeteria with a special walk-in registration fee of $50/player. Fall 2008 mail-in registration: normal registration fee is $60/player.· The new traffic flow set up was explained: poles of interest will be set up instead of having gender/age group poles. A raffle will be organized.· Fall 2008 registrants will receive an information flyer (evaluations dates, FAQ and more). Walk-ins will be handed the flyer at the payment table. Mail-ins will receive the flyer though mail or email.· The increase in cost is linked to increased fees in leagues’ registration.· We will also be selling left over magnets and t-shirts at registration. VP 1 Game Commissioner - Terry Brossman· February 28th is his 1st RBJSL meeting to attend; he will get game schedules there· He will send out an e-mail about distribution of the game schedule books VP 2 Field Commissioner - Greg Blew · Field Set Up is 9am this Saturday, weather permitting (March 1st is the snow date)· He verified that he sent out practice time e-mails· He informed the coaches that he did not want them practicing on soft fields · He is working of field lights for March· The State Hill fields can be lined, but no goals yet· Mike Feehan said that corners need to be put in on the big field on the Reedy Road side Age Group VP’s· Andrea Hetrick – Look for Andrea Hetrick’s team The Wilson Chaos in the publication Up and Coming Risers. They want to do a full page article on the team’s Golden Goal Trophy by April! Old Business· Reminder: - No spring fundraiser. Fall fundraiser is Joe Corbi’s New Business· EVALUATIONS - Concept was presented to the floor. - Floor voiced concerns about RBJSL problems and issues; these were discussed. - Presented Evaluation Committee concept (Independent evaluators then selection committee + coaches for team selection) - Presented tentative dates and timetable from evaluations to team selection.· Dave McCanney – Asked about registration break for his kids as they are only playing in a few select tournaments. (Pags weekend tournament and college showcase tournament). Board will meet shortly to inform his team manager Lisa Wagner.· Eugene Schwartz - Wants to volunteer to head coach GU11 travel for fall 2008 season. Has tried volunteering as assistant coach for fall 2007 and spring 2008 and has not been contacted by current age group VP.· MOTION MADE TO STRIKE ITEM FROM BY-LAWS: IV. Team Selection. / D. Replacement to be proposed at the March 17th meeting would allow a player to participate in evaluations for an older age group (upon completion of the required process presented in the bylaws/policies in the adequate deadlines) and participate also in the evaluations of his/her pure age group. Thus the player would have the possibility to be eligible to play in his/her pure age group if not chosen for a Select team of the upper age group. Last meeting was November Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Presidential Nominations were held - Troy Snyder was elected. Treasurer’s Report - Guy Templin· Report distributed.· Funds set aside for Shiloh Hills project. Registrar - Sandrine Quenée· There are 526 kids registered as of now for the spring, this is down from last year.· She will send out mass e-mails to previously registered U08 families and extend the registration dates.· The move of players up or down must conform to the WJSC policies/bylaws and as of today for the spring registration, no more moves are accepted (except those for team complement). · Fall 2008 registration will be March 12th and the 18th from 6-8PM, more information to come.· Distribution of the registration form/flyers will be done through all elementary and secondary WSD schools + Saint Ignatius. A mass email will be sent to all of the fall07/spring08 registrants with the attachment of the registration form. The registration form will be on the website. Extra forms will be distributed for the kindergarten registration days. We should have an announcement placed in the Community section of the Wilson Pride. VP 1 Game Commissioner - Terry Brossman· Terry introduced himself and gave out his contact information.· Coaches will no longer be going to the mandatory RBJSL meeting for fall schedules and materials; they will be distributed at the August coach’s dinner. Alternative arrangements for field use prior to April 1st will be made. · The re-seeded fields will remain inactive until fall.
