As of 5-21-12, 102 players are registered. No doubt, summer soccer 2012 will be the largest yet! ENJOY!!!
The skills assessment for new players to our soccer league was held on 5-19-12 at the Dunkirk Park.
My name is Troy Shimp. I teach school in Atlanta, GA. I will direct the West Jay Community Center Summer Soccer League in the Dunkirk Park. Dunkirk is located about 5 minutes from Albany. This Muncie area four county soccer league in Dunkirk is comprised of rec. and travel soccer players from Blackford, Delaware, Jay, and Randolph counties. Everyone is welcome.
The six to eight week season will begin after Memorial Day and ends on the second or third week of July.
The form and money may be mailed to the West Jay Community Center 125 Hoover Street, Dunkirk if you wish. Be sure to call before coming over.

Here is some highlights of the WJCC Summer Soccer League.
- Instructional - Age/Skill Appropriate Instruction
- Coach to Player Ratio 1:3
- NEW 6v6 Including Keeper for Ages 9-12 Division

- FIFA Modified Laws Used
- 9th season for league This league's participants is seven times larger than in year one.
- Two Training Sessions per. week plus one game per week.
- Experienced Competent Soccer Coaches Used
- Flexible (Practice days can be worked around other activities. Brothers and sisters can practice on the same day.)
- Balanced Teams (A Skills Assessment will be help in May to help the coaches create balanced teams.
- Competitive
- Game Length - Very Generous
- Additional Training session can be added if requested.
My goal is to provide the best possible soccer experience for the children who participate in this Muncie area WJCC Summer Soccer League. I do this every summer because I enjoy helping children learn the game of soccer.

Boys & Girls Ages 3 thru 12 WHAT: Summer Youth Soccer is an outdoor, instructional, competitive soccer program for boys and girls ages 3 (must be at least 3 years old or older by 6/1/2012) through 12 years old. This Muncie area, four county soccer league in Dunkirk, IN, is comprised of rec. and travel soccer players from Blackford, Delaware, Jay, and Randolph counties. Coach Troy (with 23 years of soccer experience) will be here from Atlanta, GA to direct the league, which is entering its ninth season. Age/skill appropriate instruction and balanced teams are important components of this league. Games will be played in Dunkirk, IN which is just 5 minutes from Albany, IN. WHEN: For ages 3 through 12 years old, most matches will be held on Saturdays. The season is from June 9 through July 14 (subject to change). Parents of first year participants will be notified by May 11 with details concerning a skills assessment.

Registrations received after 4-27-12 will receive a $30.00 late fee. Cost will include a soccer shirt. Shin guards and socks will be available for purchase through the WJCC at a later time.
