Season Overview
  This years A’s finished the season with a 27-17 record and a first place finish 11-3 in the Des Moines Fast Pitch League, third place finish in the Iowa State A ASA Tournament, second in the Des Moines ASA District, fourth in the Williams Iowa Tournament and the Des Moines Hall of Fame Tournament was a fifth place finish. The A’s also saw action while competing in the Kansas City, Missouri Travel League.
Some of the A’s statistical leaders for the season at the plate were Tony Nelson, with a batting average of .475, Matt Young with an average of .463 and team leading three triples. Travis Nedved batted a .484 along with four home runs, 33 RBI’s and 30 runs scored. Gary Christensen smacked six doubles and an average of .460 with Doug Messerschmitt adding 43 hits, seven doubles and a .422 at the plate; he also scored 30 times. Brent and Jeff Corkrean respectfully finishing with averages of .391 and .280 and 32 runs scored and eleven doubles apiece while Brent collected 50 hits, five triples, three home runs, 40 RBI'S and Jeff added 33 hits, three triples, five home runs and 42 RBI’s. Jared Alexander scored 22 times while knocking three doubles, three triples and four home runs.

Wednesday Night league champs
After a down season of team participation wednesday night league found only four teams this year.  With only Mike Clark for pitching we found the right combination for pulling out victories every night.  While defense at times was questionable the bats found no problem showing up every game.
